Hi, thank you for watching. Both are tricky, and I did have issues myself when first starting. Lots of variables come into play,, ie temperature, ratios for example.

@@jeaneandiehl4729 Hi, thank you for watching. When using Deco Art, I have found that cement all needs to be a thinner consistency, where Hydrostone works better being thicker. Also as mentioned previously, weather and ratios can come into play. I hope this helps 😊

Hi, thank you for watching. With the 3" tulip I used 55 grams of water. I just took a little bit out of the bowl as it went over once the scale had settled. With Hydrostone there are specific ratios, you really need to have the precise amount. I am not sure which version of Hydrostone you are using, but the ratios are different when using White Hydrocal and Hydrostone TB. I hope this helps you out. .😊

Hi, thank you for watching, apologies for a late response. I do not seal the outside of my jars unless the customer requests for it to be sealed. If they do, I use a sealer from a supplier in Tasmania that still gives a matt appearance you really would not even know it has been sealed. I hope this helps you out. 😊

Hi Donna, Thank you for watching. Sorry I am not sure what other cements you could use, but I can find out for you. There is a product that I have started using called Eco Casting Compound. It is from a company in Tasmania called Bramblier and it is really good, very similar to Jesmonite (If you are familiar with that). Cement All and Hydrostone both come from the USA, and suppliers here often run out. Hydrostone has been out of stock for a while now, and may not be back until next year. I will send you another message about the cement once I check. I hope this helps. 😊

Hi again, This is something I just found and is worth a try. 1) A Cement All supplier has this as a description Rapid Set Cement All is a high strength, non shrink grout with rapid strength gain. 2) A lady on a FB page has " I thought I would share my pics of the vessels I made using tile grout. It works so well" This is a product that may work, but maybe just check with Bunnings. The size I used in this video was a 3inch D x 3inch H Tulip jar, but I have also made them in 4 inch D x 3inch H jars. You can use any jar. I hope this helps😊

Hi, and thank you for watching. I personally have never used that product. I have heard of people using it, but I am not sure what they are making. I have only ever used Earth Safe Sealer for any candle jars, as I know it is safe. There is also a company called Bramblier that now have a sealer that is safe for candle use.
