Riding up rock gardens (Calistoga Oat Hill Mine) Jan-23-2021
I went there few days ago. I wanted to jump this one, and I decided to don’t jump. Lack of confidence and I’m also learning jumps. I would like to see you guys jumping. 👊🏽
Thank you for sharing Felix. The slow-mo zoomz are wild. If I knew you were shooting, I woulda hit that double backflip no foot can can😅
Really no need to name the trails out there--especially if you're not one of the builders!
@ least it didn't catch you differently & whip u around & out! 😁 i broke my big toe when my foot got caught under a sniper...next thing i knew me & the bike were pointing backward & i landed on my bum in a huge blackberry bush.😱
It looks like over torque to me, I had the same issue and took it a good bike shop, they fixed in in less than than a minute…
Having same noise, running DT 350 hub. I believe the noise is coming from the motor. Focus Jam2
I paid extra to get this POS seat post installed on my new carbon Ripmo. .
Mine is doing this and it’s brand new !!
bullshit video
nice
What kind of clown shit is this. 😂
“Leaving me in the dust,” literally 😂
What's your solution?
Mine was still under warranty so I sent it to Fox for warranty service repair.
i loaned my bike to a buddy and when it came back it had this problem. came to your video and read the comments, noticed the comments about the seat post clamp bolt being overtorqued. realized my buddy had probably adjusted the seat height. retorqued the seat post clamp bolt and problem solved. thanks for putting this up here, great way to share solutions!
I just had this issue and I watched your video to trouble shoot. I loosened the seat clamp and it solved MY problem. Mine would get stuck in two different places consistently. Loosening the seat clamp solved it! 👍🏻 thanks for posting
I just had this also, Says 6nm... so I torqued to 6nm but the real max is 5nm.
this is what happens if you make 500 different droppers 500 different forks, 500 different models of the same item for each year. idk why the bike industry is like this
Greetings from Romania! Mine does the exact same thing(only worse). Is there a way to increase the air pressure? -If I am thinking that if I could some how increase the air pressure inside the dropper it might raise easier?! P.S. What is the torque specifications? I will check that too.
Mine has been like this since delivery with an intense tracer pro at the beginning of lockdown. The intense factory and silver fish were not helpful. How do I remove the collar as on mine it feels fixed?
Contact Fox support, it should be under warranty and service is free.
Huge POS. Hated my Transfer. Had exact same issue, tried everything to resolve it. Re-lubing seal worked ok, but only lasted 4 or 5 rides.. Went back to my 2 year old PNW which still works flawlessly.
Esse tipo de peça tem conserto?
Yes, send it to Fox for repair.
I had the same issue on a 2021 after 3 months. Removing the collar and lubing the dust wiper, seal and foam ring with float fluid (as described in the troubleshooting guide) resolved the issue. Has been OK for 3-4 rides. The service is easy enough, but wasn’t pleased having to do so soon on a premium item. This was after replacing cable/housing and checking the seatpost clamp torque. Was frustrating to say the least.
Good to here that you resolved yours. Mine was in warranty so I sent it to Fox for free repair.
Wish I had the one your on about with the coller, they are so easy to rebuild. Unfortunately I have the one in the video where they are a bitch to service and rebuild where you need loads of special tools. Definitely going to upgrade to a newer moreeasy to service dropper.
Como arreglaste el problema??? Me pasa eso
Es basura me pasa igual solucion otro nuevo
Seguramente este el tornillo de el cierre de tija muy apretado!!
Mira el apriete del cuadro con la tija
Seat clamp too tight 4nm max i can tell
Nope, that's the first thing I checked. I used a torque wrench. Fox fixed the defect.
No idea why people disliked this video. The title of the video literally couldn't be any more accurate, they have consciously clicked on the video and disliked it when they got what they signed up for? Makes no sense. My transfer does the exact same thing! And mine is the 2021! Only at the top of its travel, It'll only do it when the lever is pressed slowly but will use full travel when the lever is pressed normally. Did fox ever say what the issue was? I heard its a very common issue
No, they didn't tell me the root cause. They just fixed it and sent it back. I'll update the video title so people can understand it better.
Mine is a 2021+ version and was doing the same thing. I just loosened the large nut, which pulls up the seal and greased the inner portion of the dropper in there. It was bone dry. Work perfectly now. Took 10 minutes or less. It's in the troubleshooting guide from Fox
Is it actually smooth like other droppers now? I hate my Fox. It's been notchy from. Day one. I just ordered a PNW to replace it.
Yes, Fox fixed it via warranty. But I replaced it with Rockshox AXS dropper.
What caused that? Cold weather?
It's a pretty common problem with the Fox Transfer.
Wtf is this?
Malfunctioning Fox dropper. Sent it to Fox and they fixed it under warranty.
great ride, I would join right away, but I'm from the Czech Republic.
what actually happened was the rider didn't do anything to keep the bike front up. just moving back accomplishes hardly anything. The ass hitting the tire just compounded the issue. Just moving back, is what gets tons of folks broken because it's just wrong advice.
He just steered...
Wtf happened did he hit the brake?
LoL. That's what it felt like. Basically my ass hit my rear tire as I dropped which caused it to fling me OTB. #ButtBrakes
Hi, Did you fix this issues at all?
Yes, the issue was the rear Shimano XT hub. The plastic spacer in the freehub required greasing. It's a common issue. Some of the XT hubs didn't come with grease from the factory.
@@Flex-Jitsu I have a similar noise that's starting to get worse, but running hope pro 4 hubs.
@@bendancer392 Hi from Germany, have a similar noise - it´s a 2021 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC with Newmen Fade Hubs. Do you have found out, what issue it was on your bike? Thank you very much, Knud
@@knuddreeen2276 yes mine was the freehub spline damage
@@bendancer392 not the outside freehub body with the grooves for the cassette, but the inside spline?
sweet!
I’m looking into this also. Maybe your seat clamp is too tight
No, I use a torque wrench. I had to send it to Fox for servicing. It's good now.
@@Flex-Jitsu how much did it cost you and in what currency?
@@jimoflh5773 it's under warranty with the bike so free.
@@Flex-Jitsu hey, how did you go about getting it fixed? Did you contact fox directly or go through your bike manufacturer?
@@stevetdesigns yes I contacted Fox directly
Nice vid, Lex!
