Bitter gourd chips Airfryer recipe | Crispy Karela fry with 1 tsp Ghee | South Indian Karela chips
Welcome to FitbeWell Recipes! Today let's make a South Indian styled crispy Karela (bitter gourd) chips using an air fryer. Perfect for a side dish with vegetarian meals or a wonderful travel snack.
With bold South Indian flavors & a healthy twist, you'll love this recipe, which is so easy to make.
INGREDIENTS:
Bitter gourd (250-300g)
Chilli Powder
Asafoetida (Hing)
Turmeric powder
Cumin powder
Tamarind paste
Salt to taste
METHOD:
1. Place the sliced Bitter gourd in a bowl.
2. Add the spices above & mix thoroughly.
3. Let this rest for 5-10 mins for best absorption of flavors.
4. Preheat the air-fryer to 180 C.
5. Place the coated slices in the air fryer basket and spread them out evenly.
6. Airfry at 180 C for 15 mins.
7. Karela chips are ready.

Chicken breast pieces gets rubbery like chewing gum in air fryer....it looses it softness.
I agree. One effective way to prevent that is to spray some oil on the chicken at the time of marination & begin cooking at lower temperature

This is a different plant. It's called Mexican Mint. Looks similar to oregano.

Which masala can use instead of chat masala?
So sorry for the late reply. Just missed it! You may skip it totally to keep it classic, or add chilli flakes/oregano if you like to impart that flavour. Chat masala or Amchur powder usually render a tangy taste. Hope this helps whenever you try this. Apologies, again!

You have misguided the viewers. In your process the chicken will be very dry. You must use oil ( one spoon) over the marinated chicken after placing it in the basket. Also one spoon after turning the opposite side.

How to give this juice for four months baby for cold and heavy cough?
Hi, Swapna. Pl don't feed this to the baby since it's 4 months old only. However you can try, For Babies UNDER 6 months: 1. Roast the Ajwain Leaves on a Tawa. 2. Just crush the warm leaves between your hands & rub the same on the baby's feet. Alternatively, you may make a small potli of the roasted leaves & dab in on the chest gently for a few seconds/ add it to the water in the steam inhaler / humidifier to be left for a few minutes in the corner of the room. Twice a day. Should work in the starting stage of cough. If the cough doesn't reduce even after 3-4 days, you need to see a pediatrician to rule out any infection

Hi can we keep aluminium foil in the air fryer tray to avoid sticking
I've never used it for my Airfryer cooking, Deepthy. Still, I feel aluminium foil wouldn't be a good choice, since airfryer works on high temperature & we've added acidic ingredients in this which may make the aluminium bit leech into the food at such high temperature. Instead, you can use non reactive parchment paper.
