@@AviationHistoryChannel I have to admit, being on base and air side by the BBMF hanger at RAF Coningsby was great 👍👌 but from a photography POV it was horrendous shooting directly into the 🌞🤣😂 still worth the membership and entry fee any day 👍👏🇬🇧✈️

@@oldmighty thank you for your comment, I had my Sony AX53 mounted on the lens foot that was positioned upper most and I set record on the AX53 and followed it through my mirroless camera view screen while taking pictures. I'll look at the AX53 settings and see if I can improve it as you suggested next time. I did think it was because I wasn't viewing through the AX53 and I wasn't zooming in and out as the plane went far then near. ATB Andy 👍

@@planestrainswildlife Normally the airplane will be far enough away to let your focus on infinity, that way the focus will stay sharp all the time.

@justinobrien3593 I grew up near Lossiemouth, where fighter jet pilots trained. We used to go to the fence anytime to feel the heat as they lifted off. Awesome. We'd phone the airbase for the times. That had to stop after 9/11. They'd fly over our roofs, too. Spectacular jets. We were given a public apology once from the top brass because a pilot was flying very low over us. As if we cared. Lol. The pilot wanted his kids to know when it was him flying. I still chuckle over that. 🤣
