January 14, 2011 - Video and photos taken during a walk around downtown Golden, BC, Canada, during the heaviest snowfall since 1974. Camera used: Sony NEX-VG10 (hand held) for both video and stills. A drive along the main drag of Golden, BC. Notice the cracked windshield and the stone chips? This is part of the small price you pay for living in the Rockies. Sony NEX-VG10 handheld,18-200mm lens, manual focus, shutter priority 1/60 sec., .3 exposure comp, post processing effects Premiere Pro CS5. The clicking sound is the built-in microphone hitting the windsheild.

Most of these images were taken around Golden, BC, Canada, with a few added from across Western Canada. The show ends with a couple of images from Bear Mountain Wind Park near Dawson Creek. The 34 turbines produce enough power to supply electricity for 20,000 homes.
