Gods glory is seen through the lives of the saints, who are glorified by God through their devotion and participation in the goodness of God

@@braindead5834 Yeah, that's in the video, but doesn't answer my question, yet raises more questions. - I understand God+Glory > Saints > People = God is glorified. I DO NOT understand People > Saints > Glorify God. I can simply go People > God by removing the Saints. - Saints is used Biblically to describe a believer; per Paul. The term Saint here, seems to depict some type of person who is above others, who 'shares in the goodness of God'. - How does... or why should one... share in the goodness of God? - Back to my questions: - Why do I need to venerate any of these people to glorify God? I can go directly to God to glorify Him. - In what way are they Holy?

They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. 39 Yet all these, though they were commended for their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better so that they would not, without us, be made perfect. We are simply doing what the author of Hebrews did. Praising the saints for their faithfulness to God.

Then the very next verse goes on... Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. The saints are the cloud of witnesses, cheering us on as we run the race of the Christian life.

@@CatholicByzantineEvangelist Yeah, Hebrews is specific in who it mentions... these men, Abraham, Moses, Abel, Enoch and Noah are all Prophets. There's a clear distinction, unless you're not a Cessationalist. Moreover, this is not a command or instruction to praise Saints in the manner expressed in the video... at all. This is NOT prescriptive. I can go to the Bible... read His Word and Prophecy through these specified Prophets... and read all about Noah and all these men used by and for His Glory and rest there. What's done in this video is shoehorned and injected.

@@CatholicByzantineEvangelist wow, you Catholics are pointing to that verse more often huh? Alr, look at the context, look at 1 Peter 5:7, look at the previous verses, look at John 14:6, he is the way not the saints, so why rely on the apostles when they can’t hear you in heaven? Edit: look at the next few verses after it, also, it says the prayer OF saints which is basically saying the prayers of the saints, again, pls Catholics, read the verses. Pls follow Jesus correctly, pray to Jesus not to the saints. Also no my church didn’t do anything

Holy Apostles, I pray that as you lead so many souls to Christ while here on earth, you would lead this soul to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May you pray to Christ our God for him. Holy Immaculate Ever-blessed Virgin Mary, pray to your Divine Son, that He may pardon our sins and save our souls. Amen.

@@CatholicByzantineEvangelist they don’t listen, plus why say a prayer when they don’t have phones in heaven? You pray to Jesus, the apostles believed that.
