Welcome to another Geocache channel. While I am not quite as up beat as others I am just trying to capture the fun. In the past I posted a video link with my logs, I will not be doing that anymore due to the chance of a spoiler for any cache. I am not sure if any of my videos will get more professorial but I will try to make them fun. Any comments would be good.

I have made few Grail Diaries. I was going to make one for myself but when I saw what was being sold as a " BUDGET" Grail Diary it made me mad enough to do a some extras that are closer to a movie version prop. This is the first time I have built this scale before so it was a real model adventure. I know I did a few thing the hard way but that is how I learn. Might not be show class but it turned out nice. At least I think so. Let me know what you think but you don't have to be mean.

Time for another model build for the amateurs' out there. If I can do it just about anyone can. Let me tell you AMT kits can be a tough build. I did this one because this was one of my favorite childhood cars. I never built one that was any good, till now. I am happy with it and that is what counts.

Here I go again with another build of the AMTronic but this this time I finish it. Thought I missing parts again but they were just someplace in the box after it broke off the tree. But I was able to fabricate what I needed from extra parts of the old model to make this one work. Yes I found the missing parts after I had attached the rear wheel. Still turned out well enough to show off.

So there are more than a few build videos out there. I am an armature builder so I hope that when you see this one you will want to build one too. I do it for the fun of the build and try not to put a lot of pressure on my self to do a super job. I just want it to look good when I finish. If you like the video that is cool I do them for the fun of it.

I am back at it again doing my model building. It may not be pro level but I get it done good enough to make me happy. So this was 7 day build so not bad for an oldtimer like myself. Now my Wind Zero on the other hand may take a little bit long. So if you do watch the whole video or shoot even if you skip to the end for the pics drop a comment.

So I suppose to build this months ago but I got delayed. I thought it was going to take longer to build than what it did. While in fact it was a one day build. Sure you can go all out with super detail but I did not so it is what it is. Still looks good even without the heavy detail.

Yes I have done another video of a model build. So I did it in one day as this is an easy model to do. I did not do an super time consuming paint job because I was just feeling up to it. I did learn some new things about using a detail wash that I did not know.

I just got mine and it's absolutely incredible. Truly. This is the best one I've ever seen in person and I cannot believe I own it. The price is not only very reasonable, but it's more than worth it. This is an absolute work of art. As a former graphic designer, with some experience in both paper making and letterpress, I have a special affinity for this kind of work… But I also have very high standards, and this Grail Diary ticks all the boxes. It is absolutely stunning, professional, and a true piece of artwork from start to finish. This will be at the forefront of my Indy shelf… But high enough that the kids cannot ruin it. :)

Do you mean video? Because the flash works for photos. But it is an action cam so video in day light is the most common use.
So I checked the camera and to use the flash in photos you have to not be in AUTO MODE for the flash to work. Hope that helps.
I can't thank you enough, even now in 2024, for demonstrating this camera. You showed us what the sound is like and for someone trying to research this unit, that's been a hard video to find. The sound was better than I thought it would be, but the background noise was an issue. Pity there's no upgrade that includes a microphone jack/usb port. It would be nice to see Kodak continue to develop their action and smaller camera range. Thanks again.
Thanks for checking out the review. I am sorry for the noisy air conditioner. But it does show how good the mic is or how bad my air unit is. I still use the camera too.

I wouldn't say that's an amateur build, you're underrating yourself! However I would have knocked down the orange peel surface with polishing sheets and use polishing compound for a glass like finish! Good build though!

Hey if you are going to do a review do it right. But when I did mine I could not find any at all so it was a shot in the dark when I bought it. I thought it is a KODAK so it can't be that bad. At least it is still working.

Using gear provided in the box, How long does the battery require for a full charge?
If you use a phone charger power source I think about 2 or 3 hours from dead. Using computer USB longer but it will charge over night. If you go more than a week or 2 of non use it will discharge. I guess it keeps the clock system running. For a small camera it does take nice pictures and works great underwater. Just use a big bobber when in the water it does not float well.

Hmmm I had to look that up. But it looks like it is add water and plug up type deal. BUT before you do that research it a little more it might need something to go in the water to make it work. Might even require fog solution.
If you can't get that try a small piece of DRY ICE and 1\2 cup of water. No power needed for that. Take pictures I would love to see it.

Just to let you know my Camera is still working and still waterproof. Other than the size it is very sturdy. Have fun getting wet and attach a large fish bobber to keep it from sinking.

I have to say I don't know. But it looks like glass. Short of scratching it you might have to find someone that actually cracked it.

Hmmm that is a good question. As a water camera still good as a compact day camera very handy for night shooting not that good. I bought it for the underwater use. Plus I have found out it is not that easy to get a spare battery for. Hope this helps you.

That you are using orange tube glue is what blows my mind.
Well I am old school and I know how to work it. I did go with super glue in a few places. But I also accept recommendations for other types of glue too. So toss a few my way I have a lot of models to build.
Like it was said Floor Polish for a finish does wonders. Also Hodge Podge is great for window installation. It dries quickly and clear. Nice job overall.

I use 0.015 in brass wire in the vinyl tubing. Keeps tubing from kinking.
Where is the best place to get that size wire?
Sorry, I meant 0.020 diameter brass wire. It works inside Tamiya tubing. Any hobby store ( on or off line ) should have this. Comes in a 5 pack I think each piece about 12 inches long.
I use the brass wire for 1/24 valve stems. I think 0.025 inch for 1/16 scale.
Clear pieces... use pledge floor wax . Also use on painted surfaces

Man, what a fun canoe trip. I can feel my arms again yea! Enjoyed a couple CO-FTFs and some great GZs. Always a wild trip when ya hunt FTFs with Flagg2007. Looking forward to finding the next.
