Listening this in akgk92, was going to get k702 but bought hd560s, very narrow soundstage, hd599se is way better than 560s and regarding akg 612, i heard it in various videos and 612 seems very good

Listening to the original sounds on my own KSC75s. They sound way better than y’all may think.

Brought K612 uhh they sounded so veiled, so dead, they require absurd amount of headphone amp and even with top tier interface it felt weird. Those headphones are comfy but the sound is lacking as hell in bass region and high end. The superlux 681b beat them all.

Those are the perfect harman target headphones, gonna try them out, seems to be the TOP closed back headphones of all. Both dt770 and ATH50X were so meh when I tested them. Somehow I'm surprised that their high end sounds kinda cut out, perhaps the drop of around 10Khz is massive in those, lack of "air" in them.

Nice to see tests of Superlux products, since many of them are quite good for the money. 681 is nice one to check out. On this test it seems the huge issue with 668b seems to be feeling of low quality due to 12khz+ being muffled. It sounds like if we were listening wav in og and really low quality mp3 file. I know that 668B with good EQ from Oracle1990 can meet Harman target quite close.

I own 560s and they are good but comfort and quality is bad. They feel like cheap toy. I listened to the whole test on JBL LSR305 and I agree that AKG K612 sounded surprisingly good. But like many people said, u positioned 560s somehow wrong, they aren't that thin.

We should all keep in mind that this experiment has compounding effect in that we are listening to the characteristics of the unit while being affected by another layer of characteristic from our unit. Also I there are many variant of this Model I think this is 250Ohms and depending on your output headphone amp the drivers will also be reacting to that.. In mixing you just have to listen to great quality music and really familiarize yourself with it to make proper decisions.

Listening this test on dynaudio BM6A + sonarworks curve in my studio The difference is obvious I really hear a very unpleasant resonance on senheisers and a little better on 612, more linearity but 712 is a great standard I chose between 702/612/712 and now I understand that miracles do not happen price = quality Thank you for such a wonderful test Thanks to him, I realized three things: 1) 712 is what I need 2) My studio is beautifully and honestly built and curved 3) I’m still not the worst sound engineer since I hear everything and don’t write “but I liked the senheisers better”))

Listening to this on a 712 Pro. Actually had the other two. Sold them both. Btw, the 560s sound in quite bad

Is it me or there's some glitches in the sound?

What is your source? Dac? Amp?

For me i think that the K612 sounded best and has a bigger soundstage than the HD560S in second place and worst is the K712 which sounded muffled in this comparison but i've heard that the K712 should be brighter sounding than the other two with more emphasis in the treble but i don't notice that in this test, i know that it really depends on what headphones you are using listening to this so my opinion would probably be a bit different with another pair

AKG k612 is an easy recommend to the average consumer, as it's probably the best headphones that do not requires EQ whatsoever... I hav EQ'd Sundara, and the 612 pro sounded as flat as if i was listening straight from Source, lol. the k712 is pretty good too, but, it's ever so slightly too harsh, imho. Though, your test on the 560s is terrible, the headphones are not positioned properly on that binaural setup at all, they sound completely twisted and wrong, lol. i own a 560s, so i KNOW it doesn't sound that twisted IRL. xD

This is a good demo- Porta Pros have basically almost perfect tuning for 80's style music, especially focusing on vocals and percussion. Surprisingly serviceable for vaporwave. Anything resembling heavy metal or classical though, and it feels very muffled. Basically, stick to the flow of the era these are from, and you'll have a good time.

I think it will be better if you make the songs play normally first and then switch to the headset hearing test so people get the idea of how the thing sounds like. Also there's another version of KSC's the KSC35 its more expensive and sounds different(is what i hear from yt reviews) it would be fantastic if you make a comparision audio test of the KSC75 and 35.

The HD 560S sounds a tad thin but the 490 Pro they just released recently goes a long way to fix this while using similar drivers.
