Instructions:
The Mushroom House
1. Choose desired color wool for mushroom cap. Pull half the amount of this color wool from the provided amount and roll in your hands until it forms a loose ball.
2. Pull the wool outwards to create a flat circle large enough to cover the top half of your ornament. Pull the hanger string through the center of your circle and push the circle down until it covers the top half of your ornament (this will be your mushroom cap!).
3. Attach the mushroom cap by piercing the felting needle repeatedly at the edges of the mushroom cap into the ornament. Fill any thin spaces of the cap with additional wool and repeat piercing technique in these areas. Add another thin strip of wool at the edge of the mushroom cap and repeat piercing technique to add dimension.
4. Choose another color for your mushroom spots. Roll small pulls of the wool into balls with your hands. Attach spots to mushroom cap with needle piercing technique. Repeat with as many spots as you desire.
5. Choose another color wool for the door. Take a small pull of this wool and repeat rolling technique in hands to form a small oval. Attach the oval to the bottom half of the ornament using the piercing technique. To add an outline, take a pull of wool, roll it into a thin strip, and attach to the edges of the door using piercing technique. To add a knob, roll a small wool ball in hands and attach to door using piercing technique.
6. To create the chimney, pick desired color wool and form into a small ring. Attach to where you want to place your chimney using piercing technique. Pull smoke colored wool and pierce wool directly into chimney to create smoke effect.
7. Hang your mushroom house on your tree and wait for the Christmas fairies to arrive!
The Santa Gnome
1. Choose desired color wool for gnome hat. Pull half the amount of this color wool and roll in your hands until it forms a loose ball.
2. Pull the wool outwards to create a flat circle large enough to cover the top half of your ornament. Pull the hanger string through the center of your circle and push the circle down until it covers the top half of your ornament (this will be your hat!).
3. Attach the hat by piercing the felting needle repeatedly at the edges of the hat. Fill any thin spaces of the hat with additional wool. Repeat piercing technique in these areas. Add another thin strip of (any color) wool at the edge of the hat and repeat piercing technique to add a rim.
4. Pull more wool in the hat’s color. Attach one end of the wool to the side of the gnome’s head near the ornament string and let the other side hang freely to form the end of the hat.
5. Create the ball at the end of the hat by rolling a small pull of another color wool into a ball. Attach the ball at the end of the hat with needle piercing technique.
6. Create the nose by rolling a small pull of another color wool into a ball. Attach the nose beneath the rim of the hat with needle piercing technique.
7. Take a big pull of the white wool, placing it just beneath the rim of the hat and nose of your gnome. With the needle piercing technique attach the wool just beneath the rim of the hat, creating the beard of your gnome.
8. Hang your gnome Santa on your tree and wait for the other Christmas gnomes to arrive!

DIY Custom Stationery: Fun with an Embosser
Hi! TY for making this super practical video. I wanted a springboard to come up with ideas, and I think this is it. I want to share something with you that you may well already know about (especially seeing how long it's been since you put this video out). If you line that lovely cashmere hat (which I hope you still have) with silk (which will be easier if you can find a silk jersey but can be done with like a silk habotai or something), you'll be able to wear it and not have hat hair (or at least much less) when you take it off.
Thank you for this amazing suggestion. I’ll have to try this!
Could I potentially use one of these for embossing my bakery boxes?
Unfortunately no. These embossers are designed to handle text-weight papers. However, you may want to consider embossing on paper that has adhesive on the back, and once embossed, the piece can be adhered to your bakery box.
I Ike the gold
Thank you!
Where can I get various plates to use with various orientations? i would like one for my books and one for return address and for stationery

Or feel free email us your request at info@soolip.com.
Love this video and how you explain everything in using an embosser. I have tried to find other videos that go into this much detail on making your own stationary but can't find them. Excellent Job! Thank you!
Thank you so much! Do you have your own embosser?
thank you :)
You're welcome!
You're welcome! Did you make an oracle for yourself?
Hi Wanda, I hope all is well. Would potaties hold up as a wax seal stamp? Nicole
Hello Nicole! No, they wouldn't. Wax sealing requires a stamp that is metal to accommodate the hot wax.
@@WandaWen oooooh yeah🤦🏾♀️ haha
Really like this. I’m going to save this…I know it will come in handy! Thank you.
Have you used this technique yet? :)
Great ideas! I’m inspired.
Thank you so much. This gift wrap bag idea is one of my favorites, and is so useful for many packaging needs.
my mother gave me one that said from the library of _my full name_ and I have been in love with embossers ever since!
What a wonderful piece to have. Your mother must have a deep appreciation for books and anything tactile.
Can’t really see what she is doing.
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I see it is challenging to see the detail. I'll do another video early next year using a lighter garment next time! Thanks for watching x
@@WandaWen it wasn't the colour, the contrast is beautiful, it was the distance, the lack of any close up shot. Your reply is gracious and your aesthetic is one I share. Am currently needle felting a LOT of mothholes on a beloved, fine old sweater that was in storage for twenty years, and before that, worrn for at least ten, and pre-loved, at that! It's an olive merino, totally unique shape/design, and I am using all the holes, as a sort of inspiration for some kind of leopard spots, that merge with/evolve from the green.
@@Olhamo Wow, I would love to see the outcome of your work on your olive merino. If you feel inclined, please share! xx
@@Olhamo Yes, point well taken to improve on our camera work. Thank you x
Oophf, really hard to see on the black sweater!
Yes, I see your point. Thank you for your comment. Really appreciate the feedback. I'll do another video early next year using a lighter garment. Thank you for watching! x
Thanks for sharing this! I just bought a bunch of wool fabric second hand. It is the perfect color for the medieval gown I'm thinking of, but has some moth holes. I think I may use something like this to mend those so I can still make a serviceable cotehardie and also add some pizzazz at the same time. 😁
Sounds great, Lenora! I love being playful with what initially seems like negative trait. Would love to see what you have created.
You said, "So darn cute!" What I heard was, "Sew 'darn' cute!"

Very inspiring. Now I want to find a place to shop for paper.
Hi Wanda! You can purchase the papers we use on this episode on soolip.com. You may also have luck finding decorative papers at art stores. Also, there are many new brands of wall papers out in the market. The web makes so much available. Have fun finding the papers that make your heart sing! xx

Wow.it was really attractive and eye catching.I also made ginger tea in my channel.but I think your recipe is better than my one.keep it up. I think now I'm your fan..

Nice! Inspiring, gave me the idea to carefully sew the ribbon around the rolled down edge of the bag, poking holes to stitch around the edge😊
That's a great idea! Would love to see a pic of this, Dean :)
What inspired this channel?
Hey Debbie, an extension of life at Soolip, sharing ways to live with beauty, inspiration, mindfulness and gratitude :). xx
And then, you may ask, why food? Because food is medicine. What we put into our bodies is being mindful of and in gratitude our physical bodies and our health. As well, taking the time to prepare food and making it beautiful, is an act of self-care and mindfulness.
It’s shot beautifully x

You're welcome, Erica! Enjoy making these roll-ups. They are so fun! And super tasty. And, though I say in the video that they last 2 - 3 weeks, I've had them for much longer, and they were just fine and just as delicious :)
Such a fun video! When you have too many bananas pop them in the freezer. They will turn dark, soft and perfect for this recipe :)
Great tip! xx

Thank You wanda. Great to See Odin again. lovely cards!!.
Stay tuned for more Odin appearances :)
I can’t believe it’s been 19 years! I love that Odin has taken up the ukulele. And that his favorite song in “La Vie en Rose”. I have a personalized necklace with that title. Also , in reference to the Oracle, years ago I wanted to design an invitation based on this design. The shape being square and fitting into a 5 1/2 square envelope and the information being underneath the flaps. And then at the party, everyone having different Oracles as table cards and that being entertainment for the evening. So now I’m back on that idea.
ahhhh, love this idea for an invitation, Shelley! Perhaps we make this a reality for some lucky and creative soul out there :)
I can’t wait to try this with my family. Love that you learned in first grade!
Yes, its a wonderful family activity, Nicole!

Beautiful papers, Wanda. Do you have a good place where one can source some of those gorgeous patterned papers? I especially love the one from Japan. 🌸

This explains why I always wear black, I love to surround myself with color as well. These papers are so gorgeous, I can almost feel them. Thank you for another wonderfully fun lesson!
