My favourite MTB trails at Possums
Possums is one of my favourite trail networks in the Illawarra. There is a range of different trails that are fun packed with features for all. We have a warm up lap on Ridge Racer then hit up two of my favs!

I finally got out into the Illawarra Escarpment and rode the MTB trail Lost and Found for the first time. After a very long wait (with injury preventing me riding last time I was in Derby) I finally rode the famous Blue Tier Trail! For years people have been telling me how it is the dream Lizzie trail and how much I will love it, however, I'm not so sure they were right... but that's probably because I had only ridden twice in the past three (hectic!) months so had no baseline fitness - my bad! 😂 📍...

I haven’t ridden any, but I’ve heard of a few people riding fire trails at the top of escarpment, Darkes Forest and the National Park. Good luck!

how long did you spend here riding the all the trails? I just noticed this bike park on the way back from Mogo today, and thought it would be a great little warm up ride
We rode there for around an hour doing some of the trails a couple of times. Perfect for a little warm up ride!

are there any flow/jumpy dh trails there? :)
Not at Bulli… A lot of the stuff along the escarpment are hand built technical trails with an occasional jump or drop. Possums (once trails works are finished) has a good one and there’s also some jump trails at Cringila. There’s also a lot of places I haven’t explored yet so there could be more.

You need a e-bike! they have built in shuttle and are way more fun😜I don’t even ride my normal enduro bike anymore and my riding has improved 10 fold😃

There’s a couple of trail and fire trail options to the top. I usually take the fire trails that start to the left of the handlebar.

Not yet! We planned too but we’re having so much fun at Narooma we didn’t make it there. Next trip down south for sure!

What is the total distance of those trails?
Rock Trail is around a 5 km loop. There’s some gravity trails there too that I’ll check out next time.
@@Lizzie_MTB wow. I had no idea it had that kind of length to it. I live a 20 min drive away and looked it up a few years back and all I could find was some comment on trail Forks that said it was just a little 2km loop so I didn't think it was worth my time. But if the rock trail is 5km and there is still more that is worth a visit. Thanks for the vid 👍
@@andrewyeah3143 They've definitely packed in a lot in a small area. Trail forks has all the latest details for the network. Have fun!
There are many more trails. The rock gardens are are good start. There is the magic carpet jump line with multiple choices and then there is the seven bridges trail. There are other loops and many jumps and drops. Some are janky and technical. Well worth exploring. You can easily do over 20 km of riding.

I have the X-Caliber 8 in gray. Hardtails are just way too fun and fast.

Love my XC hardtail for my commute using xc trails. Certainly gets me working on my skills and lets me know how much work my dually does for me

Fantastic trail Lizzie. Just proves, that mtb isn’t all about going full send and gnarly to have fun. Such a sick side of Maydena I’ve not seen or heard about. On my bucket list for sure. Just subbed ya too 👊🏼
Where there's a will there's a way! I'm pretty good at finding more cruisy alternatives while Joey hunts down the gnarliest tracks and biggest jumps.
