August 3rd I lost my 5 year old Maine Coone her name was Abby. She was black and Grey. She was only half. She was almost four feet long and weighed 21 lbs. I got sick for a week, like a cold but worse. Not covid tested many times. She got sick on my day 3. We had already planned a present for her. She loved kittens. So gentle and loving. We get the kitten. But Abby was improving with her shuffle and so on. I slept on the couch with . She was better for two weeks. Then she went back down. No sneezing or anything like that. She still wanted to play, just a little. Took her to the vet she lost 10lbs! And her liver numbers were 1300. They gave me i.v. fluids for her and five different meds. On day 4 she seemed better. But the next morning at 2am I got up to replace her i.v. and give her meds. She was hard as a rock. I've have several animals in my life. Abby was so different. The vet said she'd probably not make it She wasn't going to make.it. but I had faith. God didn't do this to punish me or anyone. Who knew she was the perfect pet. God knew it was time for her to.go back to him. Thank you Lord for giving me those 5 years with her.

My cat is drooling. Meows a lot all day like shes in pain vomits occasionally drinks a lot of water and doesnt always use the litter box. Shes 12 and is Himalayan. Her tongue hangs out. Could have dental disease. Her coat isnt always kempt but did groom her Its affecting my sleep her meowing all the time. Does she have kidney disease?

I just went through that with my dog. He went into 15 hours of nonstop seizures. Why so long? Because it took me that long to get him into a vet. The blood work showed liver disease but, my vet would do nothing to stop it or correct it. This resulted in me doing my own research. I discovered Milk Thistle works to cleanse and heal the liver of dogs. Two weeks later, he still has a bit of the runs but his stool is hardening up. The swelling in his belly has gone down too. My boy is a Siberian . He is 14 years old.,he has these scaley spots that start out as a tiny dry pyramid looking spot. Then it grows into a colony. I have been to three vets at almost $500.00 each time with no results. It seems there are more and more vets from foreign countries that think my cats problem is an invitation to dive into my wallet. This ... is what i'm dealing with in my beautiful twelve month male maine coon. All his doctor visits have been uneventful until the latest one two weeks ago. My older cat (8 yr old male short hair) will only eat ocean whitefish canned food and has always been perfectly healthy. Six months ago we adopted this seven month old (at the time) MC kitten who is a sweet joy to have with us (but couldnt get him to stay away from the elder's food and vice versa, the vet said it didn't matter since he would soon be an adult eating adult food anyway) .. except for one thing. He isn't neutered and has signs of hyperthyroidism and daily tries to kill the older cat by his throat in his sleep and now in daytime too. Everyone said get him neutered and he wouldnt be so aggressive. The appt was made but first i took him in for his rabies & some other vaccines. The vet shocked me when she said kitten has a tiny hole in his heart, enlarged heart & heart murmur that weren't there on previous visits, so his neuter surgery was canceled and she advised me to take him 100 miles away to a cat cardiologist. . .the first visit there will run between $500-950. So i've scoured the internet for some guidance. Found out the ocean whitefish has high levels of iodine which can cause hyperthyroidism which can cause heart problems. So i went to the store and bought $80 worth variety of cat foods that dont contain any fish at all. He loves everything so far (but now the elder turns his nose up at it). Kitten eats CONSTANTLY but at twelve months still weighs same as he did at seven months .. in fact he's lost a few ounces. Before finding out all this, i had tried to rehome him (with no luck) due to his aggression with the elder who absolutely fears & despises him. The stress level in all of us is thru the roof, and now no one will ever take in a cat with such costly health issues so he's definitely mine now. I honestly don't know which way to turn.

When I dog starts showing signs, they could be weeks or months away from death. My dog died two weeks after an US confirmed cirrhosis. I don't believe she was poisoned. I have two other large dogs. Blood tests can be off a little and that can be a significant clue that something is very wrong. Dogs are tough. They don't show sickness outwardly hardly ever.

Kidney failure IS reversible IF caught before your cat is in crisis due to kidney damage. This is how I treated my 9yo cat: 1. Feed a high quality grain free wet food diet, no kibble, no cat treats, no "human" food containing chemicals artificial colorings or preservatives. If it doesn't come in a can labeled "cat food" or if it isn't a high quality raw diet food without grains, it is not appropriate for your cat to consume it. 2. Give your cat high quality water, i.e. spring water without fluoride. NO TAP WATER! 3. Give your cat liquid zeolite drops daily until his or her symptoms resolve. Zeolite is a tasteless odorless crystalline substance that pulls toxins out of the body. Dosage depends on the brand of Zeolite you use. For NCD (Waiora) I gave 1 drop 1x/day in his food. I distributed the Zeolite by adding water to the food then mixing everything well. For Pure Zeolite Drops, I gave 3 drops 2x/day in his food, again, add water and mix everything well. 4.
