Military Surplus ECW mittens. LOVE EM!
I think I agree with you as far as the little hole/indent on the top of the blade. I do like me some slipjoints. Thanks for sharing.
@@mipd1980_edc Thank you for watching!
I just don't find spyderco knives attractive.
@@ofthedawn understandable. Function before form. Lol. They all are kinda weird looking but usually work well
How old is the guy, that doesn't have his own knife? If he wasn't given a knife, that's a red flag. As you said - there is a reason.
@@void1984 ya. He is in his 30s. I agree. Huge red flag. Like i said, it was my mistake. It wont happen again.
US Army I like it. Stays sharp
I love this blade. It looks like a straight razor on steroids 👍
@@ASMRcigarlounge1865 Thanks. I thought it was pretty cool when I saw it too.
Great review! Thank you!
Thas cool. For something designed to be a "toy", gonna have many uses in your kinda work and play. Might even get closeups of strange larvae you dig out of your leg after hiking thru a wild swamp !!!
@@DanB-j9z 😆
The imported bucks are nice looking but I dont like wasting my money on them. Just personal choice. I don't have any Sencut's but I do like the way they look. Might need to look into them.
@mipd1980_edc I like all my Sencuts. I got the Buck during a clearance at Walmart and only spent a few dollars on it, literally 3 or 4 dollars. Lol
I agree that Baton 3PM NW is a great all-around light. I think the proximity sensor is great, and it's easily defeatable when necessary. Nice to know all that power won't end up burning me.
Happy to see our product was able to perform up to par for you! 💯💯💯💯
Great video thanks for sharing. I am a FLITZ user and use that product on all my knives (FYI they also sell this at gun shops in smaller bottle called Gun & Knife Ceramic Sealant).
@@microbrewdrinker1 Thanks for the heads up.
looks like a ww1 trench club
Good video, thank you 👍
Ive bought a few thinks from BudK over the years. Usually decorative stuff like this but in a pinch Id reach for them. Cheap or not they only have to work once.😉
@@timothygoodrich3966 Hehe. I agree 100%
Unfortunately Munchkin recently passed away in her sleep. She was snuggled in her blankets nice and comfortable. She will be missed
i love mine
Kinda surprising but good info. Thanx
Good video! Important safety! Very slick looking stockman. Thinking about getting a toothpick in the future. I love the Kentucky bluegrass handles and the persimmon orange.
@@bobocan17 Thank you. I agree on that toothpick style. Very cool. I dont have one....yet.
No, haven't had to by another. Still have original and it works. It is more stiff than yours but gets the job done mostly. Also has one huge improvement over yours. A piece of tape over the mouth area with a slit where I could insert my smokes!!!! Oh ya, long time ago......
@DanB-j9z nice. Being able to eat thru it would be cool. I have drank water thru mine before mostly because I forgot and just dis it before I realized. Lol.
To BY another? 😂😂😂
@slappy8941 fat fingered it, didn't I? Lol
Started using a head net back in the 70's in Ontario during the spring. We used to go fishing the first week of Walleye season, third week of May, which always seemed to coincide with the Black Fly hatch, not to mention the no-see-ums. Head net saved me from going crazy several times. HIGHLY agree with you. If you never have to take it out of the pouch, it's still some of the best insurance you can have for your comfort !! Many will thank you. Good job.
Thank you! Ya it sounds like you were definitely making very good use of it! Have you tried other brands?
Yes I love them I use them all the time I’m not killing bears
New fear unlocked...
@sinspawn LOL. I understand that. However, I kept carrying and using it right after that anyway. I found no more issues at all when I placed it in my pocket correctly like I "always" do. I was just careless that one time....
Agree 💯!!
Great looking little knife. Got some guide friends in Ontario, CA that light love something like that as a back up. Good job.
@@DanB-j9z Thank you very much!
I'd trust 3 n 1 because my dad never lived without it. So maybe my guess is a little biased but hey...
@madeintheusa1776 i love 3 in 1. I use it for all types of stuff. We are gonna find out how it works here! This is a worst case though. Most of the time we are able to wipe our blades off every day or after use.
Same her
Looks like a good choice for you the way you approach it but for me, I'm a fan of the "Crocks" type for the same reasons you explained about them. Thanx for "checkin it out".
Great set up. A couple of items that may help are... a first aid kit, getting a cut field dressing or mole skin for blister type stuff. Multitool for the scope and sticks maintenance, folding saw for brush clearing. Extra hat and socks or even a poncho or rain gear incase of walking through water, sweat, dew or rain. grocery or kitchen plastic bag as garbage (can sit on or rest your pack as well), zip lock to hold towel (towel can be washed). Just suggestions.
@@remfj40 i think both of those would be a great idea if I was away from my vehicle a good distance. Thanks!
I believe the seeker 4 would be better for all around use
@@jonathanford1821 For all around use it's pretty tough to beat a floody light.
Thank you for sharing. Very interesting. Here in Quebec, it’s cold, really cold. I always bring a pair of wool stockings in excess. I slip in it my phone, my pocket lamps and a power bank, so it protects them from the cold. I also bring t-wraps in case I have to tighten or temporarily repair something. Finally, in case the beast takes refuge in the woods at the evening hunt, I bring a hundred little fishing chemlight to mark my way. Good hunting season.
@artiknanook9189 Thank you! I do need some Tie wraps. I forgot em. The chem lights are a fantastic idea too
I recently bought Kiwi over Scotchgard based on Amazon reviews. Some people claim it failed them. I'm about to waterproof my flecktarn parka funnily enough too with the Kiwi.
@frost8077 i think both will work. I used scotchgard on my flecktarn. Lol. Love flecktarn! Now it sheds water like a duck. I'm sure the kiwi will do the same. Use several coats
@@Capt_Checkin I'll try both. I just dumped a whole can of Kiwi into my parka and it was completely dry an hour later, so it has room for a lot more silicone.
I think either one would make a grandson very happy as a first knife. Thanx, good job.
@@DanB-j9z I just sharpened both of em so now I can carry them. The Marbles is gonna go to work with me tomorrow
Good start. Looking forward to results.
Thanks for sharing, makes me think of all my jackknives I’ve owned over the years! Knives are great tools, I use one every day for gardening and opening packages! These old school blades don’t freak out people when you go to use one, unlike a fixed blade hunting knife
Pumpkin ain’t talking no more smack after that lip job
Love the setup those hand warmers are a game changer!
@JManWithThePlan thank you and I agree!
Why?
@hapster22 just to have fun. No real purpose.
I picked up a holey Griptilian from the factory store when I visited Oregon over the summer. Wasn’t on display and had to ask if they had any in the back. They only had 3 left in the entire building so I had him show me all three and picked out one with the best centering and edge bevels. Actually swapped the scales for some AWT aluminum scales. It’s been my edc the past couple weeks. Gonna beat the shit out of it 🤘
@@FerretChloride nice find! With the new scales I bet that is a helluva knife
@ no doubt! the scale swap really improved the action for some reason. plus with military discount It was $110 bucks, best deal in that building by far
I have the same Marble's. It's a great alternative for outdoors trips when I don't want to lose my more expensive US made knives. Colonial currently produces the American made ones that Camillus once made.
i love how the mic is so close to him you can hear the breathes
@@defnotnaruto222 lol. It is clipped onto my shirt. Hmmmm, should I move it?
@Capt_Checkin nah its more funny that way lol
@defnotnaruto222 lol. Now its in my head. 😆
I have one of these that was new with a canvas sheath and a much shorter handle that fit flush with the top of the eye. I wonder if yours is a different handle than original. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing yours. It’s the only other one I’ve seen
@Threecrows57 That's cool that someone else has one too. Hehe. It's a great tool to put in a kit
Good job enlarging those peepers!
1:25 got me feeling some kind of WAY
@@justusmorelos2347 Hehehe. Just fun. Nothing serious. Thanks for watching!
Can already see the algorithm blowing this up too a million views
@@Mechamousecop that would be hilarious!
Great video but, holy shit, brother way, way too much on that strop. A thin coating is all that’s needed on that strop 3 to 4 drops should do. Trust me I have the same exact set up but you’ve used more than enough for both sides
@@devin2355 Thanks for the advice. Oops. I will remember that. I guess she will cut for a while......
@@Capt_Checkin sorry man I just reread my comment and realized I came across like a dick. That was not my intention. Apologies 🙏. Just trying to save you a couple of bucks because the stuff ain’t cheap. And one more piece of advice let it fully dry before you use it. Otherwise you were just scraping away product. And I’m not just a keyboard warrior, Scott is a good friend of mine and has really helped me to up my sharpening game. His products are absolute fire, and I don’t know if you’ve used any of his lubes, but a quick FYI, they’re better than anything else I’ve ever used.
As a Spyderco fanboy ..... This knife is awesome 😎 and it's the best. It melts into your hand and gets every task needed done. As a farmhand I used the round nose top of the sheepsfoot to free animals from wire, nets and other stuff without hurting the animal.
By best i mean best Benchmade
Great comparison. Wow it's a hard decision. I wish they had the warrior nano tailcap on this one
I prefer a slip joint to the modern flipper, though I have some flippers.
That Case was attacked by the tar thing from Mars!
@@JimLander ya.....
I have carried a Buck stockman since my youth. (I am 71 now) The stockman is, imo, the most versatile jack knife pattern.
@@JimLander i agree Sir!
I have a fixed- blade griptillian. The “grippy” inserts started breaking down, so I’m making some wood scales for it.
@@ML-dz5ix i bet that will be great. You can make it fit your hand.
