I was trying to play RE Code Veronica... it wouldn't work so I spent about an hour resurfacing it and buffing it and testing it and still no joy. I found your video and cleaned those two little things and now I'm playing the game. lol Thank you so much! =-)

Tried a few things other tutorials said like adjusting the potentiometers and cleaning the sensor on top ("the obvious one" xD) and the switches. But in the end you were the only one talking about these sensors :) Thank you so much :)

I bought a ps2 slim from diss replay an only some of my games work none of them have scratches on them I know all retail stores don't always have brand new stuff mostly used stuff especial games system but sometimes you can try into fixing the problem but the thing is cleaning it may help but sometimes it more problems than you think but I'm going to order me a new one for Amazon but this video is real can help out alots if only your Ps2 slim just need to be clean 💯👍👍👍👍👍 grate video this guy put out

mine doesnt have it with all the discs but only with gran turismo4 for all iknow, wich sucks cause its my faf game. and i do have the money to buy a complete new playstation 5 but i wanna try everything i can before i give up on my childhood companion. do u maybe have some other tips if the playstation only gives errors with certain games? anyways rly nice tips im gonna try those 2 and probably gonna pick the ps2 appart again in case i have missed some spots were dust can collect cause i only have checkt the disk rails untill so far. hope u have a good day greeting from the netherlands.

This didn’t work for me sadly, I got this game “Muppet racemania” I really want to play, but it havent worked for a while, it loads the disc, but as soon as i go into the game the screen goes black for 2 sec and then it goes out to the selection between memory card or the game. I can’t seem to figure out the problem, but I have a theory that it’s because the disc is black, because my ps2 can easily read any other grey or blue disc..

With the rubbing alcohol, do you have to wait till it dries after using the dry side of the Q tip?

Okay I opened it up and I had dust in there I cleaned it out it worked for the first 2 games and still works for the first 2 I put in but it won’t work for anymore games

Open the top where the disc goes and if you look real close where the yellow strip is on the bottom there’s two rectangular pieces one right there than one slightly to the left clean with a dab of alcohol on a qtip and wipe dry using qtip worked right away for me refer to Dan wolak’s video of “ps2 slim model fix to discs not reading” video hope that helps y’all
