The innerlock says 700 which means this elevator was installed in July 2000. This store actually opened in 1963 as Lit Brothers. Closed in 1976, reopened as Gimbels in 1978, renamed Stern’s in 1986, closed in 1989, reopened as Ports of the World in 1993, closed in 1998, currently Boscov’s since July 2000.

Art Metal Co. Wakefield Corporation Cleveland Ohio Single sided Wall mount Exit Sign with downlight panel. Likely manufactured about 1962-63, original glass may have been damaged, replaced with a vintage Sterling Lighting Co. Philadelphia PA. Glass panel. Not broken at all. Likely the fluorescent bulb is going bad, fluorescent bulbs flicker before they burn out completely. Great vintage Exit Sign, just needs new bulbs, should be good to operate for several more years. These are way more sturdy than the plastic junk they manufacture these days
