Last May we rode our Suzuki Vstrom 650, that we named Avandra for the goddess of Travel, Luck and Adventure from Greenville Sc to New York to be shipped to Marseilles France by boat. Well it took a while and a lot of work for the paperwork. She finally made it to France. Problem was that I broke my collarbone, and 5 ribs, a month earlier in New Mexico. Quick surgery and healing made the trick. ...

Awesome!!! Love it!
So cool guys!!! Amazing!
Très intéressant, merci
Magnifique, merci😊
I just bought a brand new leftover 2023 that came with the side panniers. I’ve added a centre stand and crash bars. This video is excellent and thanks for the links.
Beautiful family and beautiful bike have 2024 Suzuki 650xt adventure I need some advice,,
Thanks for the nice comments its appreciated. Its a great bike, I also have a Triumph tiger rally pro 900 and the Vstorm is as good. Where are you located? Would be glad to talk let me know what you want to know.
Tampa Florida, I need advice about side cases (saddlebags what to chose)
I am not sure I can be of much help. I got the VStorm with the stock case. I made a modification described in that video ua-cam.com/video/ejXydqLfZ20/v-deo.htmlsi=qbcYv7CzHdvDhgCD
Super, merci , toujours intéressant.
Hi Richard - I'm guessing you're using an Insta360 camera on this trip due to the moving frames, I use this camera on my channel...Vietnam is on my bucket list.
Indeed you are correct. An Insta60X3 for that trip, Updated later to the X4. Back in the days I was using a drift innovation. Vietnam was indeed very nice. Its an easy trip. Highly recommended.
0:45 V-Strom not V-Storm. If you’re gonna own one, pronounce the name right 😬🤔😉
vidéo fantastique 🎉
Très très beau, merci 😮
That aux lights bar was a really good find. Thank you, I will add it to my build. By the way, the first iteration of my build can be found at ua-cam.com/video/VsE5L3xHE2Q/v-deo.html - you may find some stuff you like. I went with Koso heated grips too, but my V-Strom version is Australian and there are some differences, e.g. I don't have that much space under the seat, for example.
Indeed that light bar works great. I am curious about teh under seat space, mine has plenty.
@@RichardBergeronmotorcycle , yours is most likely is the North American variant so you don't have that huge EVAP canister under the seat which ensures the environmental compliance. If you have the official service manual, you can see the description of the system on page 1B-5 .
@@HikeWithABike Interesting, never thought of that
Intéressant, beau, à revoir !! Merci 😊
Magnifique 😊
Merveilleux, déjà hâte au prochain . Merci .
Ce vidéo est dans mes préférés. Merci 😊
How did you attach the foldable highway pegs to the square tube? Any tips or tricks in setting up the pegs, how long is the square tube?
Sorry for the late answer. The Bike is in Sofia Bulgaria now so I cannot measure. The tube is about 18" long, I am thinking of replacing the straight square tubing with a bent metal tube to allow a slight angle to be more comfy.
Beaucoup de tunnels….nous les faisions en autobus 😮
Marseille et Milan, deux endroits visités il y a environ 50 ans ….Beaux souvenirs, merci
Encore merveilleux merci
Fantastic bikes, best little engine and gives no bother, keeps on going just keep the oil changed regularly.
Toujours super beau .Merci.
De beaux souvenirs, toujours agréable, continuez !!! 😘
Super, comme toujours . Merci
I have same bike (2021) and most of the same setup. There is just one problem with it. The engine is way too weak with full luggage. But without luggage it is a very god bike.
I also have a Triumph 900 RALLY Pro. It's true that they bigger engine is well better with the luggage. But I choose the VStorm to do the silk road since I will need nimble more than power on these small roads up there.
That depend a lot on type of roads, my wife and I with full luggage tour a lot of secondary roads and its fine. Of course on highway its a 650.
Merci ,beau souvenirs. Vous n’avez pas changés, toujours beaux 😊❤
What accent is that?
Take a guess....lol
Encore merci, nous avons fait ces routes il y a qq années. Beaux souvenirs.👍
Super, merci beaucoup 💕💕
Was Tiger 900 the other option, or 800 ?
Well... Tiger Rally Pro was the other option and I also got it. I am riding the Tiger 900 Aragon edition on my trip in the US (I am in Kentucky riding right now) and the Vstrom will be used for the silk road. (She is on the boat now). I must say that after riding both for long period of time, the small VStorm does nkt pale at all. Yes the Tiger is more modern and has more HP but it would be hard to choose only one.

Les paysages m’attirent beaucoup, c’est tellement beau. Merci beaucoup 😊
C’est merveilleux. Merci.
Merveilleux, merci beaucoup.❤
Please do a video reviewing the 2024 v-strom itself. They say it's great on highways and the open road. But.... How is it in traffic in towns? Is suspension okay? How tall are you? Is it good for tall riders?
I was busy traveling and did a lot of these travel video. I should do a comparison between my Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2024 and this one. To answer your question, the Vstorm is great in traffic and secondary roads. Took it from Greenville SC to New York all on small road and it was great. We shipped it to Marseilles France and rode it from there to Sofia Bulgaria passing through all through towns in many countries in between. See other video on my channel.
I had a '17 650, now a '22 XT Adventure. Just returned from a 1000 mile trip 2 up and overloaded with supplies. The little 650 twin pulled steep long grades at 80 mph with ease. Very impressive. This bike handles the mountain roads and the twisties like a champ. All this and still getting 55 mpg. Wouldn't sell it for anything. Long live "V"Stroms, not pstroms. And by the way, I think my black and blue 3rd gen 650 is super cool looking. Parked next to my Z900RS, it looks just as appealing.
I was looking at the 650cc for 2up fully loaded Europe tours, but began to think I'd need the 800RE tour.. maybe the 650XT will be okay for 2 people
I like how you set up the bike!
❤ Awesome video.
Thanks Jim, it was nice meeting you. Hope you had a safe return
@@RichardBergeronmotorcycle we are delayed in Dallas overnight and delayed again this morning. Hope you made to Miami safely
Wow what a cool bike and a nice video with lots of clever ideas, i too have a vstrom that I’m kitting out as funds allow, thank you for sharing your clever ideas.
Very Excellent Video - I learned a lot.. Thanks
Vous en voyez des choses…continuez , très intéressant.
That bike is a beast. Personally I find very clever to buy one of this and prepare it for your needs. You have a really reliable base, enough power and a motor proved to last hundreds of thousands kilometers. And maybe this year its the last chance to get one of these.
Traveling on both a Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro (2024) in the US and the Vstorm in US and Europe. I have done about 4,000 mi on the Tiger and 6,000Km on the Vstorm I can say that the Vstorm is a much more competent touring machine. Its much more quiet and gentle ot ride tough road with.
Toujourjours très intéressant, merci de ns faire voyager.
Toujours très intéressant. Merci , c’est très agréable de vs suivre …..de loin 💙💕
Magnifique, merci beaucoup
Great video
Que de beautés, merci
Magnifique voyage.! Merci de nous faire vivre ceci à travers ce beau vidéo qui est en plus très bien fait. 🙂
Super, merci❤
Awesome Video Richard! Almost feels like im back there again :D
That 360 cam really does the job
Great video, although idk why you didn't have the cam inside the vehicle
