I have never seen someone so young speak so eloquently about the modern world of art and how at times it can push us into a unwanted box. I appreciate all of the pointers your made and I loved when you displayed your own art and showed us clear as day when you drew carefree versus when you were strained. I myself struggled with being more professional in my art when I was in high school as my teachers pushed realism and told me cartoons were not art. Unfortunately, my whole style was always fluffy and cute or "kawaii" style which back in the 90s was not something your art teacher in middle school had ever seen unless they had a fascination with Japan. I mean, we didn't even have the internet yet. I remember adoring the Pokémon franchise and I loved drawing them, creating little characters and scrips as you also mentioned. "Those were the days when drawing didn't make me want to cry" this is exactly how I felt as I entered high school. I don't prefer realism and my "kawaii" style was still just cartoony and childish to my peers and also my teachers. Art is supposed to me something that you embrace almost unconsciously because it's within each and every one of us. The term "artist" only stands for someone who creates but it has been used to push certain art styles out of the game and press everyone else into a box. I used to love coloring outside of the lines but was firmly instructed to stay within the bounds of what is appropriate. Nothing, is more appropriate or lesser than any one person's creation, or artwork. I remember when I was in elementary school and I saw My Neighbor Totoro for the first time and I fell in love with his fluffy belly and the sweet nature of the artwork. The way that Hayao Miyazaki draws is characters and world is to me personally the epitome of beauty. I would like to consider myself a big fan and I definitely draw from his whimsical art style. The art the I love and am drawn to has always been cute and fluffy. I can see how you feel intimidated by the world of adult art because it does try to dim your color and spark but don't let it. Your cute art style is a gift in my opinion and the world needs more cute art. I am 37 years old and just now tapping back into my inner artist that I think I put to sleep far too long ago. Thank you for making such a wonderful video to remind me to rouse her from time to time. <3

This is an amazing result!!! Dont be demotivated by the final score being lower than what you expected, most universities recocnize how difficult it is to even pass IB, and your diploma has so much value! I go to an IB school, and I depend so much on help and guidence of my teachers, I can't imagine getting my diploma without that level of help. You should be proud of this result 😊❤

29 is quite a good score, not even considering your circumstances, so feel proud of yourself that at least you passed! You stated you go to a public school, and people who may have the resources or facilities to do well still fail the IB diploma, yet you passed with points over the threshold. Congrats and I hope you have fun at university :)
