Thank you again for your kind words. You've inspired me to practice more and improve my playing. I really appreciate your encouragement. I've realized that I tend to focus on developing instruments in a way that's comfortable for me. I should consider how real musicians would play the electronic instruments to better express their emotions. Since you mentioned you're a trumpet player, have you checked out the DigiBrass? It has a trumpet shape and fingering. I had to pass it because I have no experience with trumpet fingering. All the best!

Thank you for comment. I have set multiple midi layers to control the output volume of effect plugins and the mixer(in my case, AUM ios. I set midi cc 2 to control the volume with various velocity curves and velocity ranges). YDS cannot send a variable velocity - so I used a midi programming(Mozaic script) to convert the breath midi cc#2 to note velocity. This is a very complicated set up and I am still experimenting all different options. I will try to make a tutorial on this on some day. Best,

@@jrmme3377 I have not found any method to convert breath midi cc to note velocity on other platforms (PC/MAC) yet. You may try to set a midi mapping cc 2 from YDS to the volume of the SWAM program (either inside the instrument or mixer volume ) and adjust the range/value curve of this control to meet your preference. The velocity for SWAM instrument can affect the attack of the sound ( slow/smooth attack can be achieved by velocity below 105. If note velocity is set to higher than 105 , the sound will have hard/quick attack with strong sound, which may be desirable for rock music. I used to choose different global velocity of swam saxophones based on the song that I play. I hope it can be helpful. God bless.

코멘트 감사합니다. SWAM tenor app 자체에서 EQ를 좀 조정하구요, fabfilter saturn, Moog MF-109S saturator, EQ 등 effect app들로 소리를 조정하였습니다. 추가로 DAC (digital audio converter) , Static Solid Logic 2 audio interface 를 통해 hardware 상으로 약간의 distortion 이랑 harmonics 를 추가했지요. 저도 부단히 소리를 낫게 만들려고 계속 노력하고 있습니다. 아직도 연구중입니다.

코멘트 감사합니다. 바람을 특정이상 세게불면 SWAM 섹소폰 앱상에서 growling 소리내도록 설정을 하였습니다. 미디 프로그래밍을 이용해서 이렇게 하도록 할 수 있습니다.

I think YDS is better in practical points of view : it is cheaper, has on board sound, allows customized fingerings, has winder range of octave. If you only want a digital sax to be a saxophone player, EMEO is the right one. It is basically saxophone without sound and has real saxophone fingering- which I feel limited as I am an EWI player, not saxophone player. All the best

Thank you for comment. I would recommend YDS-120/150 if you want to learn a saxophone. They are also a great midi wind controller in my opinion. I don't plan to sell my add-on at this time. God bless!

Thank you for comment. Actually the attachment on my EWI5000 is the panda midi wireless transmitter and the guitarwing midi controller. It is not a microphone. I had adjusted the SWAM saxophone patch and added various effect plugins on my DAW. I used the original YDS-120 mouth piece. It is smaller than alto mouth piece. In my modification, I needed smaller opening in mouth piece to avoid air leak. I plan to create the similar set up for EMEO and just ordered soprano saxophone mouthpiece. I see YDS mouthpiece is a soprano saxophone mouthpiece . Thank you.

Yes. Only difference is that YDS150 has Bluetooth midi connection . For YDS120, I had to use a midi usb host device(WIDI host) for Bluetooth connection. Thank you.

Thanks much. I used to enjoy visiting Nagwon to try out various instruments when I was in Korea about 20 years ago. I believe some stores sell wind controllers but I am not sure if they have dedicated shops or professionals for EWI there. I recalled I did buy some rare synths like Moog Siri with very good price in Seoul last year. There are many other things you can enjoy. Have a fun and safe trip!

I made a bite sensor by using a pressure sensor resistor. It is connected to the MIDI Expression pedal controller(no longer available). Separate midi signals from YDS-120 and the MIDI expression controller are merged in a midi controller app(MIDIFLOW) on my iPAD. The iPAD plus these instruments become the one midi controller- I can play any sound module from it, such as iOS app, VSTs on PC or hardware synths. I use a iconnectivity midi 2 interface for this complexed midi connection. Thank you.

Thank you. The Integra-7 is not wind controller friendly. I used iPAD for midi programming and audio processing. Basically midi cc 2 controls channel pressure, filter cutoff and volume. I also used iPAD for video recording.
