    I'm wondering what you did with the pocket that goes under the seat base that covers the rear cross bar? It looks like you just cut it off and didn't replace it. Is that correct, and why didn't you replace it?

    Hi CMR, I am really glad to found your YT video because I am about to get the same machine you are showing here. Unfortunately I am not sure about the machine model cause even the "Singer" name was erased after so many years of machine working life. I am gessing that it is the same model by comparing the pictures I took against your video. In case it is the same model, I would like to ask you to help me to find a place in USA were I can get the TIMING BELT which is the only broken part before agree to buy it, otherwise the machine it will be just a piece of metal. Many thanks for your appreciated support. Note: Apparently the original Timing Belt has 62 teeth cleats (not sure about it). How I can send pictures to you?. Thanks again.

      I am in the same situation. My aunt gave me her Singer 51w54 and I found the user manual online. The problem is that she didn't know how to set up the thread and bobbin and the user manual pictures are a little different than what I have. Does anyone have a 51w54 and can take some pictures or short video of their thread and bobbin set up?

    Awesome. What a nice and thoughtful gift, lucky lady! I’m so glad I found your channel. If you don’t mind my asking, what kind of marking pens are you using? I am a hobby shoemaker (4years now) and the silver pens drive my crazy. The pens never flow and if I mark an area that will be seen (by accident) the silver always leaves a subtle mark and I can ruin the finish trying to remove. Thanks again from your cousin Al from across the pond!

    • @CallMyReg
      @CallMyReg Рік тому

      Hello Friend I use them too and know what you mean , quite honestly a good black or blue biro does the trick for me as long as you use drink ink pens And of course knowing your material and where your marks will eventually end up . Of course if visible the silver pens the way forward and a little sponge and fairy liquid will do the trick. Regards Tony

    • @CallMyReg
      @CallMyReg 3 роки тому

      Hello mate Scrim and foam is usually used because the leather being used is to thin or they are using faux leather, Generally if the bolsters are clean and nit pitted in any way then a good thick leather will always look better neatly fitted on to them.
