Seeing how calm the horse was being saddled with no cross ties and then ridden bareback. Has any of her training been done with no bridle at all? under saddle as well bareback? In my youthful yrs. I owned a Polish Arab gelding, that had been trained to voice commands of being able to ride with no reins. I over the yrs. of owning and riding horses began (reading books, watching videos, talking to professional trainers) wanting to ride without bits and or hackamores being used. Looking to a more gentler way of riding the long hours on mountain trails; where the bridles with/out bits just seemed at times to make horses uncomfortable with the constant bit or bosal/hackamore in the mouth or across the nose. I got to a point riding on the Arab gelding being able to ride with just the halter/ lead rope on the trails. And with nothing in the arena/corral and with early beginning training and riding a young Quarter horse mare I later bought but only rode her a couple of months hands free with head halter/lead rope in the corral only. But watching this beautiful Fjord/Halflinger cross mare so with such calmness of personality and her well handling/training made me wonder if she was ever ridden with no bridle/reins ?
