My first Saints row game was three and I really liked it. It was also my only Saints game.

Saints Row 3 is peak fun

Im so tired of the hate sr2 and sr3 were very great games [to me] they even have a ps5 port for sr3 that i still play till this day and it looks and runs amazing LITERALLY all GTA5 Does is add more heists and shitty dlc to the game that no one wants and gatekeeps their next game for over 10 years it should never take that long also sr2 and sr3 were so immersive plenty of missions and imo both of those game are way more fun i mean you get to explode skyscrapers and aircraft carriers and in sr3 you get many tanks and heavy artillery for free. Gta has never been that creative and they still update their games with dlc too this day. also sr3 looks miles better than any gta game [without mods] the physics and gameplay may not be so focused on irl but thats the point of a game. gta with mods which is only avaliable for pc is obviously better but you can even activate cheat codes in sr3 and sr2 as well as gta. sr2 and 3 have so many outfits and different clothes and also the hand to hand combat is miles better than gta and i would say the planes and the weapons are far better as well for being a game that does not get updates anymore. imo ive been playing sr series for many years and its more intense and evem the humor is way better in sr3 now yes there are many things gta did better but imo sr2 and sr3 had me hooked and i also owned gta4 and gta5 as well as other gta games nothing will ever hit the same as the sr series. RIP Volition i will always have a special place in my heart for you and the great memories you made creating saints row.

I Just wanna say, The fact that the developers thought "Oh, Heists would be cool! Yeah, You get to wait in the car." Would be an interesting activity just goes to show that they should've just gone back to the drawing board right then and there

Now I kinda feel bad for having Saints Row 4 be my introduction to the series, because I have mixed opinions on it because of that. Ive started with 4, then played Saints Row The Third a few years later and I thought both games were pretty OK at best. It really makes me wish some other company would take the helm for the franchise and bring it back to its former glory, or maybe even remaking the first two games (not rebooting them, remaking)

So as im listening to this i hear "Worst death in gaming history" i audibly responded with a chuckle and "yeah, no shit." And my dad responded "Johnny Gat?" Thats great, i mean when I was a kid my dad let me get a game from gamestop and not knowing what i wanted my dad just picked up saints row 1 because i liked GTA 4 and San Andreas. After that I fell in love. Im glad im one of the few who got to play every game in the series. Even the new reboot, however i only played for about 2 hours. I care for none of the characters. I finished gat out of hell because i like gat and im the boss...so i saved myself.

Saints row definitely lost me after the 3rd game it had so much more potential than gta but they just kept fumbling after the 2nd game

I don't know man. I played Saints Row since SR2 and I liked it, I liked SR3 and even SR4. Gat out of Hell was stand-alone DLC and while gameplay was shit, i kind of liked light-heartness of it. As I see it, SR never actually took itself too seriously. As soon as i played Agents of Mayhem I was sure everything onward will be shit. And boy, was i right.

Mad Dogs never gets the appreciation it deeply deserves. That game had an exciting storyline and was fun as hell to play. Saints Row shouldnt be in the rivalry conversation

I really enjoyed the reboot Saints Row game, I never played the originals, so I’m a bit biased. I can see why people dislike it compared to the original two games, very different tones

Saints Row was my favorite game franchise outside of Pokemon and playing the first game at a relative's house is what convinced me to buy an Xbox 360 in 2008, before Saints Row 2 came out. I had so many good memories with that game, in that year. Saints Row the Third is the weakest game in the original series (pre-reboot) but it's easy to explain the appeal of it: 9/10 gameplay, 4/10 everything else. But at least the character creator was good and it gave us Kenzie, so there's that. And Saints Row IV is an AMAZING video game, but not a good Saints Row game. Volition should have just made Saints Row the Third a spin-off IP and separate from the main series. But they never listened to their fans. Also, the Deep Silver social media manager trolling and starting fights with everyone was DeadlySteph and rumor is, she didn't even really work for Deep Silver. She was a contract hire from a PR firm and their whole goal was to get "engagement," and views, even if that meant negative PR, unnecessary controversy, and making everyone hate your company and your game. She and her marketing firm got paid regardless, so it doesn't matter if they burned down Volition in the process. She is exactly the kind of woke, perpetually angry GirlBoss you'd think she is. This was only 2-3 years ago; I remember all of it.
