The only one I’ve heard in person was Winder’s Eclipse and while it wasn’t terribly loud in person, the sound carried FOREVER. I worked at Walmart, about 3 miles down or so from where this siren was mounted and I could hear it clearly when they tested.

That’s why you don’t use rusted old CD&F cabinets, kids.
