“Rejuvenate himself”? Tom Izzo doesn’t need rejuvenation. He’s the best coach MSU has hands down. No coach out there is going to do a better job for MSU. If you want up and down basketball then that’s what you’ll get. Forget FF’s. You will see what the rest of the BIG is mediocre in March. What BIG coach do you trust in March? The conference needs to change and not by adding 4 more mediocre teams. The conference needs to move from regular season emphasis to a NCAA emphasis. Judge Izzo on NCAA tournament play. MSU has the best record of wins for the past 25 years including Purdue.

Also calling Cooper, Carr and Sissoko "non-shooters" is way too generous, they don't have one offensive move combined. Even Kohler has been pretty bad on offense. They can't pass at a plus level, they can't dribble or catch reliably, they're not even that good at defense in terms of being a real impact on games. I think Carr might be good someday but that's just an insane lineup, how did no one on the staff or team be like coach that's nuts how are they going to score? Totally agree that him and Holloman were put in absolutely terrible positions, no chance for them to succeed with those lineups

MSU's identity is a defensive team that isn't actually that great at defense, so we get all the disgusting offensive futility but not the hard-nosed defense and rebounding. We have Tyson who is still not firing when he needs to, AJ who is not really meant to be a scorer, Hall who is a stretch 4 that has a shot so glacially slow that people don't actually need to guard him like a true shooter, and big men that might not start on another Power 5 team. I think our coaches actually hate spacing, like they want it to be super hard mode for our guards

I love coach Izzo for what he's done at MSU, but he's simply lost his touch. How can we not have one decent center on the roster? In 36 combined minutes, Sissoko, Cooper and Koehler combined for 1 FG. Why do they play so much? And don't tell me it's defense because none of 3 guarded a soul tonight. Carr and Booker continue to ride the bench for less productive and less talented players. It's inexcusable.
