@@kevinsimpson4278 thanks, Yeah able to go quite high as there is little to no wind in Marmaris unlike in Mexico i wasn't able to go as high due to wind alert hope you have a fantastic time.

@@briain_odonnghaile thank you for your kind words we really appreciate it, this video was taken in 2019 and we did use our tour operator for all our excursions however we went back in 2022 and 2024 but we did it ourselves using either collectivo or a private taxi, It was so much cheaper doing it ourselves and we got a lot longer in the parks because we could leave when we wanted and not when TUI wanted, we have only ever stayed in the premium block so can't compare to what it's like in the other parts however I do have a timelapsed video in my Mexico playlist that compresses 7 days into 15 mins from our balcony we was top floor ( 5th ) and if you get floor ( as shown in the video) you'll no it's worth every penny of the upgrade, at night you can see Playa Del Carmen all lit up and the island of Cozumel too, hoped this has help feel free to browse my updated Mexican playlist which includes tips on how to get around ultra cheap and where is best to get cheap snacks for the hotel room.

Fair comment, However i think we both feel now that there is so much of this world we haven't explored it would be a shame not to, Mexico holds a very special place in our hearts but perhaps it time to find our next adventure, Maybe the Indonesia islands or somewhere around Vietnam.

​@@mcmuffin-z5v the Bogna 1X departure is a pretty standard departure if departing from 26L heading through France into Spain and the Wiza 1x is the lesser used departure ATC prefer to use the Mimfo 1M to head towards DVR.

@@davebryan6226 no they don't provide no straps nor mounts either so need a head strap or use a 3M sticker with a GoPro mount but if you look closely at the helmets they have black tabs that hold the head strap securely.

@@milby9860 was pleasantly surprised by Jet2 it was our first time last year with them normally we do long hauls to the Carribbean however the service from check in to the flight was impeccable, Can't fault them, But they have bought some new A321 planes and I find them a little tighter for legroom compared to their 737's but they have only a few 321's at the moment so you'd be unlucky to get one lol.

We took the collectivo it's only $2 per person and the hotel will happily take you to the highway to catch it in the shuttle carts, just simply stick your hand out when one is approaching and it'll stop, it's very safe mostly used by workers and they drive by every 2 or 3 minutes, simply get on and say Xcaret and he will stop outside the park from there you get on the free Xcaret shuttle for a 3 minute drive to the entrance where as a cab will cost you $30 each way, massive savings and takes about the same amount of time which from the highway till the entrance is about 20 minute drive, we used the collectivos absolutely everywhere saved a small fortune, definitely worth doing it that way, when you book online it's an open ticket so if the weather is a bit rubbish you can simply go when you want also with going Via TUI or Lomas ( the hotel ) you are bound by time you get there about 10 ( park opens at 9 ) and picked up again at 4 ( park is open till 10pm ) so you barely get any time there, hope this helps let me know if you need any advice about anything else we will happily help where we can 😊

@TheColinAndMindyShow what time do the collectives run to? Can we watch the xcaret show then get one back?

@@lisafrodsham8331 they don't have a timetable that they run to, they come every couple of minutes but the last one leaves playa around midnight, I believe that the Xcaret show finishes around 10 so you will be perfectly fine just hop on the Xcaret shuttle bus that takes you to the highway way and use the underpass right next to the shuttle stop to cross the road to be on the correct side to take you back to the resort.

Wow 23 years ! I'm sure it will have changed a lot judging by pictures over the years it's expanding more and more and from what we heard from regulars when we were out there not for the better but last year we went twice as if was our first time to Turkey and absolutely loved it

We booked the parks online direct with Xcaret it's an open ticket for a year and saved alot of money that way believe Xplor was about £85 per person but with hotel/tui they wanted about £140 plus you get longer in the park as the excursions leave around 4pm we made our own way there using a collectivo £2 per person and got there when the park opens and stayed till quite late.

@@Hrndezlizt we opted for the premium room with pool view and balcony they are very spacious and nice rooms but we have only done the premium block so can't say what they are like compared to the standard room if you want an idea of what the view is like from the balcony scroll down my videos till you see 7 day time lapse that was shot from the 6th floor stunning view out to sea and at night can see the lights of Cozumel

We've done Xplor and Xel Ha before, was thinking about Xcaret but at of reviews say it's not worth the money, what's your opinion!?

So unfortunately this year it has gone up, it is now 300 lira to go to Turunc from Marmaris and 200 lira to go from Icmeler to Turunc, these prices are per person and is only one way, the cheapest is the local bus ( not dulmus ) as see ln in the beginning of the video, hope this helps 😊.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video 🙂 It's £86/$95 if you buy the ticket 14 day advance online ( and it's a open ticket meaning you have a year to use it and not tied down to a specific day ) or it's £95/$105 if you buy at the doors on the day, there is a package I would highly advise to get which will include all inclusive food and drinks and your locker is £117/$130 they also do a photo package which is amazing for about £20/$23 if you do go it will be memories for a lifetime.

@@elactic2331 So recently it's just changed if you are a UK customer you get alot less than before if your American you get everything and now they offer "More inclusive" which is day trips for free and use of the other resorts, however the TUI customers now only get to use the Palms side of the resort which is the side you see in all of my video's as the American side is newer but less bits there, restaurants are now not all included, the one's not included in the price are Klay Talay, Mia Casa Dorado, the Mezcal bar which is a massive shame as they do the best drinks including the famous flower pot cocktail, however all these can be included if you are willing to pay $25 per person per day, We on principle are not as the price is Brits pay should include everything we feel, it's such a shame as this was our favourite resort but now we find our next hidden gem, hope this has help.

Yes absolutely even tho the resort has the palm side and the suite's side you can access either one most guests from the suite's side use the palms beach as it's a nicer beach the only bit you can't access is the nudey beach called hidden beach so you would have to walk from suites across the resort to the palms beach, bothe the loungers and the Bali bed are free to use for all guests and includes beach butler service too, thanks for taking the time to watch the video 😊

Thank you very much, It was fairly recent we came here in May 2023 and again in September, However the weather was pretty hit and miss in May so all the footage you see in this video is from September, Couldn't ask for better weather no rain everyday was 35 degrees plus, feel free to check out my curated Turkey playlist where it shows a lot more than just Icmeler, Including some of the well known day trips Marmaris has to offer.

@@briain_odonnghaile you'll love every second I'm sure, top tips would be don't be afraid to go off resort and explore using collectivos they cost a fraction of a taxi, Book any excursions yourself they'll be so much cheaper and you can do them for longer too, If you are a keen snorkeler then bring your own as the hotel does provide them however they really are not that good, If you want to know more about the surrounding areas or more on the hotel I have a playlist called "all things Mexico" flick through and it should help.

​@briain_odonnghaile go find a barman named Ubaldo and ask him to make you a Dirty Monkey with baileys instead of vodka. He's usually in one of the swim up pool bars. Best drink ever from the nicest man I've ever met.

Yes the hotel is fully adults only, in the times ive been there the youngest I have seen there is couples in their mid 20s it's a very relaxed/romantic atmosphere.
