    For me I could not get the line to say in. After spinning at full speed the line comes out of the head and gets tangled around the bump head.

    I suspect engine size, auger and impeller diameter have more of an effect on speed of clearing than 2 stage or 3 stage.

  • @nodak81
    @nodak81 Рік тому

    I have a 30" 2-stage and a 28" 3-stage and I MUCH prefer the 2-stage. 3-stage is just a gimmick. The only thing it does better is heavy very wet snow. The big downside is that they seem to be delicate like glass. Mine bent the worm shaft when I hit a stick, the stupid sheer pins didn't sheer. Just bent the shaft and stalled the engine. Now I have to make major repairs or just ditch a nearly brand new machine.

    Hummm... Now show turning the thing around. Next show the handles flexing and twisting while turning the tiller around to redo the same row. As for one-hand operation...when using in sand maybe but definitely not in tightly packed soil or new soil with rocks. This is definitely not a review but rather an ad for the tiller!

    • @jamesrodriquez2863
      @jamesrodriquez2863 Рік тому

      No tiller can be operated with one hand the first time it's used to break sod. In fact, until you get the garden area fully tilled up, you can forget about one handed operation the first year of gardening. It's in the subsequent years that tilling becomes much easier and you can walk to the side holding the tiller one handed. Also, I have NEVER ONCE had a problem with the handles flexing and twisting while turning my Bronco around.

      I think it was both, a review and an ad. I just now bought a used super bronco. Her video is helpful getting started. There are many small things I need to learn. The previous owner added fresh gas to old bad gas. It will run much better after removing all the bad fuel and filling it with fresh fuel. The engine oil is clean and topped off. The gear oil seems to be full but I'm not sure about that. I don't have a manual but will soon .

    I got the Troy Bilt 3090XP 3 stage, 30" 420cc. AC start, Electric Chute control. Love it. Think I paid $1500 5 years ago. seems 3 stage blowers are atypical in the Wash. DC area. It's a Big Blower. Tires get good traction for plowing Up hills. My driveway is 900 ft. long with a rather steep hill. Fashioned a Sulky to haul my ass and it does OK on the flatter areas. Steering is a handful in deep snow but will chug thru 2 feet which is the max I've used it in. Burned two Auger belts (Heavy Chugging) and sheared 3 pins (Transmission is solid). Advice: Don't load it down to the max, driving at highest speed in 2 ft of snow is FUN (Mo Powa!), but the auger belt may smoke a bit. The second belt can be swapped in 20 mins, have one available. The Drive belt has survived so far. Didn't do that well in 1" of slush, not enough volume to keep the chute loaded but why bother? Be sure to not leave fuel in the tank over the summer and it will start right up next year.

    Good video, but I have to say this is terrible engineering! How on earth are you supposed to take it apart to clear jams or fish out the ends of broken off string??? No wonder none of the landscaping companies I've worked for have ever used this brand.

    • @manfromtheredriver7386
      @manfromtheredriver7386 3 роки тому

      Right, so I figured out how to take it apart, but now to get it back together I need to completely re-string it from scratch. Horrible design.

    I just bought this exact tiller today from a guy on marketplace. It looks new , he said he used it 3times in the last 2 years. I had to pull the fuel line off and drain the old gas in it and clean the carburetor. I put fresh 93 octane gas in it and the tiller started right up. I can't wait to use it in 2 months for its snowing here today in SE Indiana. Have a Great Day

      Single stages do better with slush out of the box. Anything more complex needs a bigger engine, or try one of those impeller mods with the rubber flaps.

    • @bwillan
      @bwillan Рік тому

      Doing an impeller mod to any 2 stage snowblower will vastly improve performace when it comes to wet snow. No more clogged chutes.
