11 Strategies to Boost Nonprofit Board Engagement With Marketing

I hear alot about nonprofit boards. My advice in that area is limited at best. I do, however, see first hand how an engaged board could make marketing your nonprofit a WHOLE lot easier. I sure do wish I had a magic board motivati...

I can't believe they don't allow the simple shift + enter, on a numbered list - at least it is not working for me on a mac. Thanks for this tip - doesn't quite work for me - I'll keep looking and post it here when I find a solution!

I KNOW!! And I tried out Adobe Express thinking, maybe Adobe has it fixed and I could just use that instead aaaaannnndddd...nope. Same junk. Why are bullets so hard?!? I feel like they do work better in a DOC in Canva.

Canva's weird with their lists... Thank you, what about a bullet that has 2 §'s -- that doesn't seem to work. Do you know a workaround for that?

That was awesome info. I came to this video thinking it was going to truly be about bullets and numbering (the actual bullets feature) because I wanted my text further away from the bullet point, but this was great info too.

Hello Dear, I visited your UA-cam channel and I found that your channel has no ranking. The title, description, tags are not SEO friendly. As a result views, likes and subscribers are not increasing. If you want I can help grow your channel organically.

You'd think that Canva would have figured out how to provide a way to add adjustable space after or before paragraphs like Word does. They also don't have a way to adjust the transparency of an image, but I digress.

I know right?!? At a certain point (like if my document is bigger than 2 pages) I just end up using InDesign and the Adobe Suite to design...I love Canva aaaaaand it just doesn't have the power to beat out Adobe...YET!

Nooo! You can't tell me that those look evenly spaced though. Even though both lines in line three come closer together, now the spacing between 2 and 3 and 3 and 4 do not match the space between 1 and 2. I can't even trick Canva in trying to make a manual numbered list. Every time I type number 1 and hit space it formats it to bullets. I hope there is a less exhausting way around this in the future. I really appreciate your videos. I'm just being lazy and trying to make templates for my coworkers in Canva so they don't have to rely on me to make stuff in Illustrator as much. I'll def give you a follow though, because i know if there is any update to how to do this more easily, you'll be on it! Thank you!

I know right? How is there not a way? I did find recently that you have more control over the spacing in a Canva Doc...BUT...it's still really manual...I show the method I use to space out stuff in docs in this video: ua-cam.com/video/V_9QpXOmZIg/v-deo.html because in docs it works to adjust the spacing on a numbered list as well.

This is useful thank you. However, if you have two numbered bullets in a row that need adjusting, it adjusted the gaps between. With you example, you only showed doing this for one isolated line. If you needed to make the adjustment you showed for bullets 2 and 3, it wouldn't look great. It would be helpful if you could show the workaround for this.

Oh dear. You're right! What a bummer. If you're in a Canva Doc you can use the method illustrated in this video: ua-cam.com/video/V_9QpXOmZIg/v-deo.html to adjust the spacing on a numbered list as well. But for other types of files there's not a great fix for multiple multi-line numbered list items I know of. I'll keep looking!

@@mayecreate7100 In the end I just manually created the number bullet points exactly how they would look automatically. Your solution is great for small list, whereby the odd line needs fixing.

Right!?! I did see that they updated it a bit recently, you can see it in action in my numbered list tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/Mqd06gy2VAk/v-deo.html Now if Canva could just make it easy for me to crop documents!

How do you get your second line of the bullet point to line up with the text above instead of starting under the bullet point?

    • @mayecreate7100
      @mayecreate7100 5 місяців тому

You'll hit return at the end of the full content for the bullet, if you hit return at the end of the line then it will move under and indent under the bullet.

Also, Canva now allows you to adjust the line height in individual list elements so you can also do it that way now. Here's an example with a numbered list but it works on a bulleted list too: ua-cam.com/video/V_9QpXOmZIg/v-deo.html

I got this figured out! You set the overall spacing the way you want it then highlight each of your multi line lists items and manually set the line spacing to be less for those items. I'll put up a video showing how it works! ua-cam.com/video/Mqd06gy2VAk/v-deo.html

This isn't working in my project. I am trying to create a custom appointment template but there is no times. When I enter the times for each day on each line I can position the numbers in Monday but for the rest of the week when I click alignment for the left the numbers go all over the page. I have tried everything. Any suggestions? Their AI isn't very helpful either.

Thanks for sharing this hack - very helpful 👌 Can I ask how I do when I need a bullets list where some of the bullet points are 1 line and some are 2 lines - AND I want to be for instance 1.8 line height between each bullet point but shorter line height (for instance 1.2) between the two lines in the bullet points that are consisting of 2 lines? I know I can do it by creating a new text frame for each bullet point b7t it would be easier if I cut just press return for each new bullet point and still have it looking easy to read - like your bullet list here? Thanks a lot in advance ;-)

This is waaay to late of a reply but I totally just faced this the other day...unfortunately I can't find an auto fix for this so what I do is hit enter after each bullet and then change the font size for the line in between (the line with the return carriage only) to be a small font size. So if my text is 12 px I might make the return carriage line 6 px. Hope that helps!

Have you found a way to show internal and external traffic in GA4 reports? Excluding internal traffic is great, but at my company we do want to see internal traffic and what they do on our site. So ideally, we should be able to say, this is what external users do on our site, and this is what internal users do. But hell if I can figure it out!
