Lefeet P1 XR unboxing and Scubajet comparison
I just got my Lefeet P1 XR underwater scooter today. So here is my unboxing video as you get to see it for the first time, just as I do!
I'll also give my thoughts and comparisons on the lefeet vs the scubajet that I've used this season.
I am so looking forward to using this new scooter in the upcoming Wrightsville Beach spearfishing tournament coming up October 18, 19, and 20th this year.
Lefeet did not pay me for this unboxing video and I used my own money to purchase this unit.

Last day of Grouper Season 2024
Переглядів 2,3 тис.2 місяці тому
Today is the last day of grouper season. Wildlife screwed us this year and only gave us 45 days to catch 1 grouper per person, 2 per boat. Very irritating! Well enjoy this beautiful dive on a new-to-me spot!
Clearest dive in NC - Normania
Переглядів 9 тис.3 місяці тому
This weekend we dove twice at the Normania. It was the clearest dive I've ever had. We caught our limit of lobsters, and groupers, and got to kill off some lionfish as well while trying out the Aquatic Hunt container and spear. This will be the last time we dive the Normania this season.

Hungry shark sighted at Normania Wreck, Wrightsville, NC, 7/24/22!

This is a short clip from one of our dives at the Normania wreck. On the way back up during our safety stop we encountered a good sized shark that was very aggressive with multiple attempts to come towards us until we got into the boat. Shark came close enough that I nudged it away with my speargun. Shark appears to be missing the top half of it's tail. Enjoy :)

      I'd like it more if the company didn't go out of business and the screen/controller didn't break on the 12th dive, while never actually being slammed against anything other than the water at first entry. I bought a screen protector from a guy in Australia for my 2nd one. Lets see if it breaks as easily. I've got the new Lefeet P1 XR coming at the end of the month too.

    We are diving relatively close. I go out of Southport a few times a year. Just a suggestion, if you don’t want to freeshaft. Push the spear all the way through the fish, like free shafting, and unclip the shooting line from the gun. Pull everything through your fish. You didn't seem to struggle with that fish too long, but it may be faster and easier than fighting with a flopper. The other thing you could do is use an oring to keep then flopper down. Safe diving.

    • @carolinaseahornets
      @carolinaseahornets 2 місяці тому

      Good ideas. I thought of that too while doing it. The flopper was down but kept hooking on the flesh at the end of coming out. Probably would have been faster to pull it through and remove the ring like you said for sure. Thanks for the feedback!

    The line is on your gun backwards the rubber goes by the gun

    • @Livingthedream1225
      @Livingthedream1225 2 місяці тому

      Yes the rubber on the shaft side is not normal but not sure it hurts anything. May wear out that piece a little faster because it's absorbing more shock being closer to the fish and getting rubbed up against ledges and wrecks.

    To note, the owner of Lobster League told me they do have better material to handle these bigger lobsters and he is helping me get that taken care of. It is a battery strapped to your ankle on a 6' wire lead. If it touches you a certain way, it shocks you with a pulse. It sends out electrical waves. Sharkbanz is a completely different product. I used to use sharkbanz forever ago. I couldn't tell it did anything.

Would love to hear even more comments about what you were seeing and thinking as you went through your dive, and identifying some of the other 'shootable' fish that come into view of your camera. I am learning a lot from other divers like yourself right now and beginning to implement it into my own diving. And for those who are not spearfishermen and just watching because they love the underwater, having you point out various kinds of fish would make it more enjoyable and educational. Thanks!

    You need to work on your breathing skills! Relax!!! Slow and steady! Your body needs to buy proper fins, relax his legs movements, and adjust his tank height because the BC is way too high!!! See how the valve hits his head restricted neck movements? Also, his buoyancy needs to be adjusted! Another 2 lbs of weight would have done it! Long free diving fins are not intended or any good at all for the kind of diving you are doing! Try the military scubapro heavy turbo fins! You will improve everything with the right tool!!! Plus a million other problems hard to not have had noticed! I have been an instructor trainer with over 3000 certifications worldwide since 1985. Also, I have 17 years of working as a commercial diver under my belt! Take my advice tobthe bank! 😊😊😊😊

    • @carolinaseahornets

      I've tried 4 different sets of fins, a couple different ones were scubapro. The best luck I've had are with my freediving fins. I have the least amount of leg cramps and I'm able to go the furthest on them without getting as winded. I agree I definitely need to work on my breathing. I always do. It's definitely gotten slowly better year after year though.

      I have used their shark banz2 bracelet for years. After 2 dive trips I had this season where we encountered unusually more aggressive sharks than normal, I decided to buy their Freedom7. Since then I haven't even so much as seen a shark whereas I'm used to seeing at least one or two most dives. The only downside to the Freedom7 is it's very common for me to shock myself, especially while on the bottom trying to catch a lobster. That part sucks, but I will still continue to dive with it regardless.
