Do you know the size of the carrier bolts that go in the front carrier subframe? I’m missing the front two and my radiator dropped lol

Has anyone figured out where to purchase that tool you use or where one could find one. we install and use bci systems but they said they don’t have anything like that.

Currently sitting on the ground in my garage trying to figure this exact issue out on my 1969 Mercury with a 429 Cobra Jet. I never knew that was a separate part. Thought it was machined out of one piece. Couldn’t figure out how I was supposed to get the spacer off. Thank you so much! Is there any issue with screwing the harmonic balancer main bolt all the way in like you did? Currently, the crank shaft is in the position that the woodruff key is on the bottom and I want to rotate it 180* so that it is on top and I need the bolt back in so I can put a wrench on it and rotate the engine. I also want to be able to use it so I can use the washer to pry on the woodruff. Thanks again!

I was going to do the BCI route, but I decided to do the Sterling tub enclosure (DIY) because the whole bathroom subfloor is rotted out down to the floor joists were still in good shape thank God! I had mortar mud plus wire original tile and two sets of ceramic tiles on top total two layers ! they would’ve charged me an arm and leg to do that plus BSI.

i got a 2016 challenger hellcat that needs a engine cradle replaced. how much do you think it should run? dealerships want $7k i found a few front end shops that will do it much cheaper. is it worth it going cheaper or stick w dealership pricing? info i need to know because if its dealer pricing i will just have to sell. hope you can help

Too hard. If you're gonna remove all wiring harnesses, fuel lines, hoses and all that crap first, you may as well pull the engine and go through it all. To change clutch pads or the dreaded planetary gear, I use a 2 x 10" across the fender wells and a ratchet straps going under the bottom of the engine. Pull top motor mounts and transaxle mount bolts, get the frame off, Then pull one clip off the passenger axle where the round union is. Drop the cradle, swing the strut out of the way and the whole axle comes out WITH the caliper assy. The other side should come right out. The motor can now be lowered enough to easily remove bolts attaching it to the engine. Lower the trans, the drivers axle still inside the trans, then you can squeeze out the unit separating it from the still installed drivers axle. Don't forget to unbolt the brake lines. LOL

Typical! Like so many videos on YT you skip the actual bit we want to see!! Useless! Also, if you use a screwdriver slightly narrower than the slot and tap it down behind the key it will do less damage and remove the key in a way that you COULD film it!!
