Kathrin Härtel - Blockflöte
Kathrin Härtel studierte bei Michael Schneider an der HfMDK in Frankfurt am Main. Ihr Master-Studium schloss sie an der HfM Karlsruhe bei Karel van Steenhoven 2017 erfolgreich ab.
Von 2021-24 nahm Kathrin Härtel an der HfMDK Frankfurt bei Jan van Hoecke ein weiteres Masterstudium auf (Hist. Interpretationspraxis), welches sie mit Auszeichnung abschloss.
Sie ist Mitbegründerin des Ensembles Flauto Attiorbato, das sich dem Repertoire für Blockflöte und historische Zupfinstrumente widmet. Außerdem befasst sich Kathrin Härtel zunehmend mit dem Csakan-Repertoire des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Weitere musikalische Anregungen erhielt sie unter anderem von Maurice Steger, Han Tol & Dorothee Oberlinger.
Zahlreiche Konzerte als Solistin und im Ensemble führten Kathrin Härtel ins In- und Ausland. Sie war an verschiedenen Opernproduktionen beteiligt, unter anderem am Nationaltheater Mannheim.
Darüber hinaus unterrichtet sie im Großraum Frankfurt.

I'm very curious if the bell is what makes this instrument sound so resonant. I wonder what if we add a bell like that to a baroque recorder, actually why not all recorders have a bell.

Sadly it doesn't. My simple Csakan (not the one from this video) could be converted but when I bought hi, I decided not to buy the stick part. Now I would like to let it make but I don't find the time to have it done (I will have to send the csakan in but I need him for a concert at the end of August. Hopefully my Csakan will have time after that :))
