Rookie Rock hound and tumble mistakes
I love the wood!
I am enjoying this process so much.
It's fun sharing my hobby with other people 😊
Nice job with editing all the video together! Rough to shiny rocks :).
Thank you so much!
this is awesome!. I recently came into making crystals into jewelry. Love the work!!!
Hey there! Fellow rockhound here. The algorithms is working for your channel you came up on my feed for the first time. Saw your quartzite short. I just started RH this spring 2024 and hooked DAY 1 LOL. I just started cutting this past week for my birthday hubby surprised me with a saw. No yesterday the in-laws surprised me with a tumbler. I also started my channel this past week as well. Lots of "news" for me this year. Hoping to start 2025 out with a bang. Defiantly have a new viewer liked & subscribed. Happy Hounding Holidays!
So happy to hear you're enjoying this new hobby. It's so exciting to learn and explore the world around us.😃
@@jackytumbles Yes thank you it is! I have been watching your channel all morning learning about tumbling. This is the first time trying it tumbling for me, so I had lots of notes from watching LOL. Hope you had an awesome Happy Hounding Holiday!
My hands have many scars. So...if you could use something to guide the rocks while cutting them, this mama won't be so nervous. 🫤 Nice video. Especially your handsome handyman. 🙂
Love the before and after pictures.❤
@@lorettasiegrist9334 these are always fun to make
not gonna lead you down the wrong path, i did an image search and found a few results you can investigate. natural turquois, some type of jasper, labradorite, amazonite, or it could just be slag.
Thank you for letting us know that that one part was sped up.
The one with green on it probably has copper deposits in it.
@@icefire309 oh cool
UPDATE: It's been a few days since I tried this and despite my garage feeling like the inside of a glacier, the inside of my mylar cave is quite toasty.
But there is a crazy person taking rocks!😁
@@lorettasiegrist9334 😄
So pretty! I love the necklace i got from you. Although it keeps going missing cuz my girls love it too! 😊❤
😂
Bandon is my wife and I's favorite place for rock hunting.
How exciting. How much does a good quality rock saw cost .
Ummm....a lot😅
And we had a blast. ❤
Keep up the good work
Thank you😊
love the blue rocks
I liked your video very mich, look forward to seeing more.
Those are beautiful. Did you get a chance to bring some home?
I bought some raw rocks to tumble and some amber to add to my collection
Those are amazing. I love your hobby.😊
Glad you like them!
Those are so cool. Can’t wait until you get a rock saw.
Nice

Subscribed! I was fascinated by rock tumbling when Alex was a child. We lived in an apartment at the time, so the sound of tumbling got a bit old. 😬 We moved it to the storage garage and tumbled for weeks and had tiny but beautiful stones.😅
Our garage is below the majority of our house and has a concrete barrier around the inside. So we can't hear the tumbler at all.
Looking forward to what you're going to do with that. ❤
Oh I'm keeping it exactly the way it is. That's too pretty to mess with😊
That's pretty awesome. It looks like a set of waves from the side.
Don't forget to 'burp' the barrel every day or so to save it from exploding the gunk everywhere.
Those small pieces could make a pretty mosaic.
windchimes sound like an awesome project.
@@denisehensley4208 I know! I'm hoping I'll have some time during winter break to work on that.
I can tell by some of the things you did that you have at least watched some other's videos, yes? Editing work on this video was nice. That's another art. :). Thanks for posting. It's always fun to see how others do their tumbles.
@michaelc6817 Oh yes. I've been watching so many videos on rocks and tumbling, it's a little overwhelming trying to hold in all this new information. But I'm having a lot of fun with this hobby.
I like the little red and white ones.
Thank you for your video. I'm a newbie to tumbling and the lessons you learned and taught are going to be a big help. I appreciate you and your help. Keep up the good work. I've watched many videos on tumbling before I saw yours and yours is the kind that I believe will help more people. Look forward to seeing more .
@bonnieduncan8163 Oh I'm so happy to hear this.
Aget!
I still think you did an amazing job. Just look at the colors that came through.
Ya I'm still happy with them.
Those turned out pretty despite the oopsies and camera operator. 😅
Thank you😊
It looks like candy! Mmm😊
Maybe there's an ancient mosquito in it! Jurassic Park material?😁
@lorettasiegrist9334 nah just a bunch of pine needles
From a cherry tree?
Congratulations @windyreid6186 you are the winner of the necklace give away!
My girls LOVE the petrified wood!❤❤
I totally thought that was going to fall apart in the tumbler. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the results on that one.
I'm amazed how beautiful those turned out.❤
@@lorettasiegrist9334 Thankyou 🧡
Rocks are true treasures.
The children have spoken!😅
I like rocks
Hi, that is 18-30 degrees CENTIGRADE or 64 to 89 Fahrenheit (room temp). No need to freeze next time, although they do look COOL.
@@FreeYourMindArt Oh, LOL! Thanks😄
@@jackytumbles I subbed too :)
Very nice. Are they heavy around your neck.
No. Not at all.
That's really cool and informative. ❤
Loved the video! Your jewelry rocks! 🪨💎❤🤩
@@lesi9982 LOL! Thanks 😁
Those are super cute! I love the color of the cord you chose. ❤
So beautiful!!!
Wooooooo
Ooo, I like the one that looks like a boomerang! The girls like the red ones. ❤
That boomerang one, I had no idea was going to look like that. I was blown away!
