How to Build a Typhoon Proof Bamboo House
BASE Innovation Laboratory gives training to architects and engineers on how to build a typhoon resilient low cost house using bamboo, with Cement Bamboo Frame Technology (CBFT). This video is a sneak peek of the training we attended. We are not affiliated with BASE. For more information on their laboratory, training and technology, visit www.base-builds.com. Also, to be sure your house is typhoon resilient, always consult an architect and (not or, it needs to be both) structural engineer.

Ilove organic farming God bless your farm, new subscriber here
Papano po mag attend jan sa ganyang seminar?
Hi, may I ask if earthbag construction is suitable for a tropical, earthquake and typhoon-prone country like the Philippines?
How to purchase?
Im new to your channel. Perfect find as i was in search of an information site where i can get idea on developing our recently bought small farm in Quezon. Looking at using sustainable material like bamboo. Got no idea on this farm project. Wanted to make it a sustainable farm tourism with a small campsite. Thanks! looking forward for more🤗
Oh. Engineer luis..
pwede kaya ito gawin sa amakan? buong rolyo?
I wonder why, instead of using an improved design for typhoon resistance (such as domes, or hexa/octagonal structures), most builders, including Base Bahay Foundation, prefer the traditional box/rectangle buildings, but just reinforcing them.
It's also the point of view of the client, most people are used to the traditional house. Plus production and cost efficiency.
@@pinayarkitek7931 Do clients know they have an option? Domes are becoming more and more popular all over the world and if clients knew they and other more circular structures are more typhoon and earthquake resistant, wouldn't they opt for it as well? Save more in the long run. I believe architects and builders have at least a little influence on what can be built.
I have seen domes being advocated for residential houses before, it doesn't have much takers or the builder doesn't have the capacity to scale it up. It may be more suitable for community or gathering spaces. Traditional houses can also be built strongly it's just in the design and details.
@@pinayarkitek7931 "builder doesn't have the capacity to scale it up" You're right. Most builders don't. But I would think something like Base Bahay foundation would. Architects, Enggrs and their groups could advocate for it as well. This is happening in other places as well. "Traditional houses can also be built strongly it's just in the design and details." This is also true as well. But a design that's naturally stronger works better than one that's simply reinforced or made to be stronger than it's otherwise regular design would naturally make it. Instead of using resources for the additional materials to make it stronger (thicker walls, more reinforcement), wouldn't it be better to use it for something else or just as savings? I would think clients would see that as an attractive option.
@@Norbingel the argument is less on its structural merit as it is cultural. Few people want to live in an octagonal/ round house when they have been used to living in a square/ rectangle one. It's impractical, especially if it's small. Bigger ones will likely cost more.
Thank you. Papagawa ako ng ganitong bahay…

Hi. How was the plastering of the earthbag house? Also, what did you use for the flooring mixture?
May I ask if you have an email ? I just wanted to ask few questions about the facility?
Have you consider aircrete?
Bamboo is plentiful and cheap in the area, and likely has properties more suited to this purpose - so probably not.
ganda na pala dyan sir

Although I was born enslaved into: (service-of-the-"money-empowered)-forced-partisation/system) to the western capitalistic money generation-system of the higher-learning money empowerd hierarchies over-educated of the western populations (method of controlling of) lesser-over-educated-fellow-man. Lost by frown on their methods of provisining as well. So let's collaborate and have a chat in order to help each other to create a better example way of utilizing the Earth more sustainably for our Provision. All we need to do is create a fellow population maintained way-of-life retirement (from capitalism) Village. To stream to the internet via a permanent zoom meeting showing different portions of our fellow villagers doing the chores and duties necessary to provision their way of while nurturing mother nature to show a real life example of how to provision a fellow population while putting climate change behind has the Earth becomes nurtured towards regeneration and everyone no longer acting like an Instagram personality but concentrating on the chores of nurturing the Earth for our provision which also converts the Earth back to a beautiful natural environment to live in where everyone shares the abundance of food produced from our collective efforts. And where only true consensus boating is allowed to govern. Instead of money focused leaders are generating wealth for their opposing parties aI the while enslaving their mass populations enslaved in debt slavery throughout their Generations. Until the capitalism caused climate change until the Earth is finally depleted by the capitalistic human ant colonies over-consumerism-ing themselves all for the money until they've finished creating their own self-inflicted, self-sxtinction - all for the money.
