You should not use fittings designed for drain plumbing in a pool application. They are not meant to have pressure on them.

I can just imagine someone sitting outside reading a book but not facing the way the roomba is going and they start to hear the noise again and go “what is that noise?” So they listen for a moment and hear a “plunk” and go “what they hell was that?!” So they turn to look and go “oh shit!” XD

It's a ticking time bomb. There is a reason why they extended the warranty 2 years post expiration. I had mine for 3 years and it died.
