some of these types of paint are rated at 180 degrees C ... only time will tell

This is really the only sure way not to break the lock in the gearbox. I do it like this - I stop, the brake pedal is pressed and the gear is in N, then without releasing the brake pedal I apply the electronic handbrake, wait about 2-3 seconds and release the brake, make sure that the car is on the handbrake and only then put P .

Yes, the idea I'm sharing is the weight of the car when it is parked to be carried of the parking brake. Not by the transmission itself. Thanks 🙏 for comment.
