Wayne Fields man so underrated
got to get up before daylight to beat Crowe
Excellent
Who’s playing mandolin? Kinda looks like young David McLaughlin…
I just want to hear more of that lady talking😂😂😂😂
That's a good sounding guitar.
Who playin that mean 5string!!
Wayne Field's banjo playing is so graceful.. He is one of my favorites.
killer video!! thank you for sharing it!
Classic, well done!!
fantastic, one of my all time favorite bands!
fantastic, thanks for posting this! What a pity that is has all these crazy signs all over the video...
Super fine and enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing.
Rickey Wasson has just always been good. What a tight band.
Can't believe the low attendance at this event , great music !
One awesome outfit right there
The best new south group of all time
not by a longshot, but rickey is my fav singer for JD
Fantastic Ricky!!! One of my all time favorite bands, Have 2 albums, 1 cassette and 1 CD with Alison. Such a pity that the last instrumental ended too soon, I love the crazy inside-out rolls :-) Best wishes from the mountains of Austria!
I love Bluegrass music ❤
Awful blurry
This is music that I love and I´m just thankful for being able to listen. We all miss J.D. and glad his - and your music - lingers on. Thank you so very much and greetings from me in Sweden.
That’s real bluegrass right there!!
Anyone who sang with JD Crowe works for me. RIP JD
That was a fine band
Great
Thanks for posting. Good singing and JD is smooth
All so talented. JD is so smooth great bluegrass sound
Well, I'll be darned.
Thanks Rickey. Good stuff
You can tell Crowe was fired up to play that day
Wayne fields-my dad learned to play from that guy Great guy -passed a while back Richmond my -
Wane Fields taught my dad to play banjo in the late 80s
Lord. Hard to beat that.
Lord yes!
Would this be Elmer’s guitar that Rickey called it? Unreal
Jd had r well greased , no matter wat the line up!!!
Never again can you go hear a banjo played like that.
LOL - ever heard of Al Munde? Noam Pikelny? Bela Fleck? JD was instrumental (!) in reviving interest in Bluegrass music but he was never very inventive or imaginative compared to others and even got rather boring with the same old riffs. Never really grew and developed but plateaued and stagnated for the latter half of his career. It helps to listen to a LOT of banjo players before making such big statements.
@@mandolin8297 yea. You play your game and I’ll play mine. We will not ever agree Have a good day
@@mandolin8297 I think he was referring to traditional "Scruggs Style" pickin, the artists you referred to are "progressive" and in their own way are stagnant and repetitious.
@@mandolin8297 Also, if you think about it, you never heard any of the banjo players you mentioned, in any band that had anywhere near the balance of vocals, instrumentation, or timing this man had. I played banjo, mandolin, flat top and upright base for almost 50 years, so I'm not just talking without knowledge on the subject. And in my opinion, the original commenter on this thread is correct, outside of maybe Ron Stewart, who incidentally is playing fiddle on this very video.
@Hugh Jarse Awe, did him find a typo to ridicule? 😏 Poor little feller. Here, I'll leave you another one, "dic hed", There, that ought to keep your immature mind busy for a few hours. 😏
fabulous ... I love Ricky Wasson's album, the only one I know ... are there more?
Awesome. I was there 12 foot from the mans banjo. Amazing sound Travis
Appreciate this upload, Nice to see dad playing Banjo and sounding great here!
This is a wonderful video to see! Thanks for posting! The kind of music that forces me to pick up my guitar and strum along!
where is the rest of it?
Good as it gets.
Rickey, you guys were like a well oiled sewing machine, you couldn't be beat.....You guys are my heros.....
I miss going to that place, a lot great shows there.
Great music
Pretty good
Is that Wayne on banjo?
Sure is
The abashed tip untypically sniff because drink etiologically consider over a victorious grape. aloof, light soap
? Whiskey?
Tough!!
Who is the guy playing banjo?
Wayne Fields
This is the earliest video I've seen if ak. How interesting to see her not be the lead singer in a band! Amazing to think she went on from this stage to winning more Grammys than anyone in history!
