Hey! Our recommendation is for an "in the same room" feeling. You can absolutely use it over a longer distance just like in this video, but then you might notice a bit of latency.

Ok, so I'm being serious here.... I'm not hearing the latency here. Are there something regarding the nature of their video that would hide the latency. Did you ask them if they felt any latency while recording this.

It all comes down to what kind of music you play and more than anything, how sensitive you are to latency. To know if it works for you you need to give it a try under your specific conditions (your distance, your internet connection, etc). Hey! The guys were in 4 different locations. 3 in Bologna, Italy, and one in Lucera, Italy. About 540 km distance. The video was recorded in one location. Just the Elk Bridge output into the camera so what you hear is the true experience you get as a player.

I believe in this one they recorded their audio in each location (as well as feed it into Elk) to be able to give it a proper mix afterwards. But the sound quality would be the same if you record the output of a Bridge as there is no compression on the audio with Elk LIVE. The only thing is that you need to commit to the mix you're using when playing live.

Hard to give you an exact answer as that depends on your specific internet connections. But assuming you have ok internet you won't have any problems playing together being only 50 miles apart.

In this specific video, the guys were all in or just outside of Stockholm so maybe a radius of 20 km. But Elk LIVE has a much longer reach than that. We have dayly sessions between Sweden and Italy. Hope you can try it out for yourself soon!
