I grew up and lived only about 40 to 45 miles south of Sturgeon Bay. We would travel up into Door county several times each summer. Sturgeon Bay is only the beginning of Door county. It is wonderful in the summer totally surrounded on the east and west by clear clean lake water. It is maybe too cool for swimming and it keeps things from getting too hot in summer. For many years and generations people from far south near Chicago have gone up into Door county to spend a week or more in the summer.

Yeah, that looks like a big one. Very smart to pull over.
