@@Vitroceramique yeah I feel a lot of newer/casual players are serverly penalised in B42 and is catered to the more advanced/long term survivors have you seen how long some skills take now with the removal of destructing things ect and as you said a lot of crafting is locked behind recipes even basic stuff that needs no knowledge to make The one thing I do get though is metal armour I feel for what it is still lacks positive use cases but needs to be balanced I get realism etc but if it was real you would walk round like the terminator with no care in the world and with no risk but I still feel it needs to be improved Some armour prices in my eyes are OP while otherwise I would use to fuel my fire 👍 thanks for the wonderful comment 🙂 appreciate it brother

@kalkelated I have over 250 hours on build 42 now and your content is well researched and fairly assessed, I'm tired of idiots like privatelime as an example who know nothing about the game using their popularity to misinform a huge amount of the playerbase

Metalworking now refers to blacksmithing (which imo would be a better name). The old metalworking skill is now called welding. You don't neccesarily need a torch for blacksmithing. You will need a forge and a couple other buildings though.

Yeah this was build 41 hopefully we will see some changes on b42 full release as personally I don't mind the changes/grind but this severely penalises new player as with a lot of other things in build 42 (unstable) so when b42 is released in full to everyone and just just opt in hopefully some things will be changed Thanks for the comment and support brother 👍

@@kalkelated Well I'm a Build 42 CDDA veteran, already done 100 days survival. While taking a break from editing my own youtube series I always curious what other creators bring to the table. Personally I would love to see this type of video for all new towns in build 42. They added a lot new locations you can make content like this about PS: You should use interactive maps to show where are those locations. For new players will be helpful. Or you can show it on a discovered ingame map so they can find the location

@HTFGamesStudio I'm trying to get my march ridge video complete today with the new bunker - I'm hoping to do it with every town I have done EKRON already I'm finishing march ridge hopefully today the. I will probably start Irvington or Brandenburg Yeah I'm still very new to all this before 5 weeks ago I never edited a single video ever if you check one of my first videos you can see I had zero clue what I was doing even know I don't know much I want to edit interactive maps and show the journey around the town that will be very cool and something I plan to learn I just don't want to still maps on screen with no good editing skills as maps tend to be boring and lose views unless it's interactive like you say or well edited like a tour guide if you understand that I also play to to trying to push 1 larger video each week and 1 smaller one like march ridge is currently around 10mins my longest to date I have a lot to learn but personally I'm doing great the early stages of a channel seems the hardest because nobody knows you but 160+ subs in 5 week and 70k views with shorts about 40k on long form is great for 5 weeks and I plan to keep grinding Sorry for the long post il shup up waffling 🤣🤣

@@kalkelated Well we all started from nothing, despite I have 13k subs and over 11M views on my videos. I also struggled to grow my channel. When I started there was no Shorts, this is why it was way harder to get traction. It took me almost 1 year to get to monetization. I even payed google 300$ for ads to get the views in order to obtain the last 200 subs, because I had the hours needed and didn't want to wait. For editing, over time you will learn new tricks organically while working. What I saw from this video, your editing is already good enough to make great content. The important thing is to keep experimenting and before giving up on a format or idea you should do at least 20 videos about it. I had several experiments like this that initially had 0 traction but after several months became my best videos on the channel. This allowed me to understand what people want. Also, marketing is important and the best one you can do is on Reddit. Sure there are some toxicity there in particular toward content creators, but when you get used to trolls and haters you can gain a lot from sharing your content there. My first 1M views was made of 10% from reddit, plus 40% of my first 1k subs was also from reddit. The most important think is to not overdue with marketing or you will get your self banned from that specific subredit. The rest is just experimenting and find a format that works. Keep trying and never give up and you will grow. Believe me if I tell you that you have potential!

very situational in my eyes but thinks like the metal gloves choker ect are great armour pieces but even with armour zomboids can still negate it like the lotto :D

@kalkelated this is why I think getting all 17 body parts to 100% would be better than having something exposed, idk why armors can't give full body protection, they are already giving debuffs but often I still got bitten because my hands, or neck for example didn't had 100% bite protection. and it's true that this could be situational because you chosing protection over mobility, but it's still nice way to secure 1 year old character from getting bitten from a random zombie that appeared in already looted area. I personally think armors are not worth because they don't give full protection, it's not guaranteed that you will not get bitten, and they already have low durability and only durability should keep you from being bitten not random chance

@ hopefully on b42 release we should have improvements mate otherwise yeah the majority will be useless 👍

Yeah now leveling skills from B41 to b42 is almost like 10x harder with the no exp for disassembling so everything is a lot harder to obtain especially for the more casual player info think the earlier armours should be slightly changed 👍

personally i would not even prioritize i would use depending on the type of run and what i would be leveling - no way would i directly prioritize crafting armour but thats coming from someone that can do playthroughs of 1 year+ and the majority of the playerbase cant last a month and now with b42 being harder than b41 iss suspect more people will last i think armour can be great (no leg protection) in a lot of situations or if you have the skills already for me its neither as a lot of things are useless but like metal gloves i would say are needed

@@kalkelated I feel like build 42 is punitive or harder in way too more aspects than 41. And the devs failed to see that most players won't survive months / years ingame or keep interest for that long. So by doing too much on the ''locking game mechanics behind lot of grind'', they just hide it for most of the community.

@@Stephen64138 b42 is definitely Harder and in B41 like 80% of the player base still couldn't survive longer than a month - tbh I'm a fan of the grind I use to be a RuneScaper 🤣🤣 but the grind is now 10x now for.some skills which is crazy but yeah the more casual player that keeps getting bitten will not see a lot of content 🙂

@@Stephen64138 I believe they will, I don't think they will make the game easy because they won't buy they will make it somewhat better like muscle strain when b42 (unstable) was released was so crazy they they hotfixed to balance that and it's much better 🙂 so hopefully with a couple more changes b42 will be amazing as it's hard going for b42 unstable back to B41 for me
