I was ten when I first heard this song…I just enjoyed the flow but didn’t understand it I had to come back to it when I was 19 and that’s when I understood that this song speaks on the troubles facing our worlds and the fact that we have not truly opened our eyes to the problems. We as a human race must begin to come to the realization that we have the ability to make a difference. All I can say you the best Dad ever for introducing your son to this song🔥
better you are gratefull that you got a fahter
man that is not biggie lmao
This song is awesome, ilisten it in 2024! This young guy like garbage music, he is so stupid! 👎 Sorry, this is true! 😂
Kid capri
That's what i was thinking also
What happens on earth stays on earth meaning when you dies only your soul leaves
This is a great channel concept, I wish my dad was alive because we'd def have a Father Son channel! RIP NATE DOGG #NewSub
Rest In Paradise to your dad bro.
This song hits harder in the context of the album.
Such a silly waste of time watching this reaction. The song is a masterpice and the video too.
Make a better one
Canibus had his lane with the scientific shit talking, but he did not make good music. He was one of the earliest examples of battle MCs who struggled to make the transition
The entire album was low-key an L.L. and Wyclef dis. Please react to Canibus - "Lost @ C"
Can you please do “Dr. C. ph.D” by canibus? 🙏🏾
Btw the original song is from Amadou & Mariam, singers from Mali. The language is Bambara.
Son has a good ear. Didn't like his rating, but the analysis was thoughtful. I looooooved this song in high school when it came out, and I'm a white boy from midwestern farm country. It was everywhere. A few facts that you may or may not already know... it was on the soundtrack of a basketball movie I loved called Above the Rim (starring Tupac), Warren G is Dr. Dre's step-brother, and the sample used is from Michael McDonald's easy listening hit "I Keep Forgettin."
Pops in a zone..... That's how I be when I be puttin folks on to new sh*t😂😂😂. Keep doing y'all thing..... Give him that Nas "Life's a B*tch" next
the lady is speaking patwah a dialect spoken in pigeon from Africa and the islands
this is such a fire album
I agree
Wow your son is disrespectful to the women that is singing in her native tongue that represents her culture. More maturity is needed on his part but i can understand a person not liking what ever they don't like but your son really needs to understand a message and a positive message. This generation don't like positive messages. They like who's talking about their twerking, diamonds, women, and all things materialistic.
My son is far from that believe me he's young but that tiktok and IG and twerking he can't stand it. He did not like the chorus not the person or the language or the culture.
👍Right, Carl3240!
Idk if ypu guys have listened to Sing about me, I'm dying of thirst but if you haven't i would highly recommend it
I haven't but my son said i should react to the full Album
And what’s crazy is that song has a strong connection to this song as well. Kendricks discography is like a history lesson
@@BackToMusic1975 I would definitely recommend it he goes really deep into humanity/morals/flawed emotion without getting corny and it's portrayed with a bunch of sonically mindfucking songs. Some are super hard and some are more somber and there's a bunch in-between. Damn is a super good album. Also sing about me, the song that the commenter mentioned is from one of his earlier albums good kid maad city which is kinda what blew him up, it's also an amazing album but with more of an old feeling. The album between good kid maad city and damn,to pimp a butterfly, is an amazing jazz/rap amalgamation and is considered to be one of the greatest albums of all time(even outside of rap) and David Bowie used it to inspire his last album that he made while he knew he was dying. It's the kind of album that needs a few listens. He won a Pulitzer prize for tpab and if I remember correctly he's either the only rapper or only musical artist to win one
GUY IN THE BLACK YOU KNOW A GOOD SONG
Love it Roxanne!
Yall should react to Coast Contra they are def old and new school.. I like the vibes new sub here!
I heard Cost Contra a year ago And man those boys give Wu vibes. Yeah i been saving it so my Son and i can react to it School is done few days so we will be busy. Right now DMX Album Reaction for my son coming up.
Best freestyle rap ever
Canibus is my guy
@@BackToMusic1975 I always believed he won that battle between him and LL Cool J… he was robbed
y’all should react to my new track “saying grace”

This is so interesting, and I appreciate your dad's honesty. I had similar feelings about the song - it felt slow and all over the place, my ears and eyes clashing between what to hear and read. To get the maximum effect, this a song that has to be relistened to. What's interesting is how - I don't know - I listened to this song recently, and it really did hit. Ironically, initially, it wasn't the story, the rap, or the ability, but it was PROM's piano. There was something so intriguing in its chords and looping progression - like a camera slowly zooming in through a picture. In fact, that piano was my gateway for the song - the one that helped me break through the initial first impressions I had. Something about those piano noodles shot through my skeleton like I was just a child listening and taking it all in - bypassing any judgment of the beat, dissonance, or intellectual analysis. And that's when this song shines ultimately, almost like a revelation. The universality of loss, youngness, naivety, comradery, morality - how fast we can go away. 7 minutes of the song was about Walter and Saba, yet it could all just end in one minute. Genuinely an amazing song and a great reaction regardless.
❤
It’s kid capri he says his name multiple times on the album
My son said i need to do the Album reaction we might.
@@BackToMusic1975you should! It’s such a conceptual album the tracks sound better when you listen to them together
One of my favorite tracks from Kdot
I love it
React to kendricks control verse
WILL DO
Towards the end of the song he disses 50 cent
This kid has no wisdom and is obviously not a knowledge seeker. He does seem like a 4 year old having a tantrum. Just brainless and worthless.

Wow, this kid is annoying. I think anyone watching this video feels about this kid the way this kid feels about Damien Marley. This is the most useless kid ever. What a moron.
Listen to some 2PAC and hear what he thinks..
will do
He don't like good music! 😢
This is an iconic song, this Album withstands the test of time. True artists came together.. This kid has no life experience and have not seen adversity. I’m sure Dad knows the struggle and can speak on a few things that are true in Life. Timeless song..
you live and you learn...I sipping on some moonshine other day and played the album and i forgot how good this album really is.
One of my favorite songs of all time. I can’t wait to play this for my daughter when she grows up.
in my onion this album didn't get a lot of love underrated
No lies told in that intro, incredible album, and timeless for sure
I agree
Everything went over this kids head
It happens Joe the beauty of life and experience. I was born in Africa with no shoes. hes was born here with everything i did not have
yep already tricked by the beast let him eat his pork and watch his sports
When he said "take 50 cents and purchase a pack of peppermints, battling me youll never win" this was a 50 Cent diss. 50 dissed Canibus on his "How to Rob" song saying "Canibus wanna battle while I'm stickin him up". Its a funny little jab at 50.
Canibus wanna battle ,while i'm sticking him up F a cab the coroner is picking him up - 50 cent ft mad rapper how to rob
Bro damian killed nas on this i had to read the lyrics back when the song first came out and i knew damian was a monster
Best song on the album Best song of 2019 Best song EVER
It’s definitely DJ premier
That is what i thought
No that’s kid kapri
Pops rockin' that GZA Liquid Swords tee! 😎🔥
I made this shirt and i had to rock it for the first video.
I think this was a 50 cent diss
I think he was dissing LL cool J and wyclef jean
youre thinking of the Game 300 bars which was partially inspired by this song
Canibus freestyle with the rapper Journalist is raw as well 🔥
were going to do the 2000BC album
His verse on Beast from the East is an all time great. Also Poet Laureate 2 is his best work.(7min w/lyrics)
faxx. buckingham palace and 4 horsemen
Canibus said he spit the 50 bars in one take in the studio... Can I bus, went Gold in like a month in a half, and eventually went Platinum. It sold well
I love Canibus but that freestyle battle on Smack was not a good look
@@BackToMusic1975 so just one weird battle where he looked like he was out of it is supposed to define his entire body of work?
@@BackToMusic1975it wasn’t on SMACK It was on KOTD. Everyone has an off day Him and Dizaster had a good song together afterwards and shows he hasn’t lost a step
It sold well but wasnt good
Can yall react to Jadakiss- Child abuse show jaden what hip hop was like before it changed 😂
It's on the list yes sir
Your boy was a different type of monster and this is proof that eminem was only big as he was was because he was white because canibus basically had the same flow and style thats why they had beef at one point canibus definitely lyrical assassin and kept up with the best of them
Canibus and N still Got some energy toward each other till this day... I think they will do a song together watch
This comment is cap. Em and Canibus have totally different styles and Canibus wasn't a good songwriter. Ems race did play a role in his sales but Canibus struggled with making good music not bars
@@dsg3053 I agree canibus wasn't good at writing songs as far as hits go but they're styles were very similar that's kinda why they had beef in the first place
This Chat right here. y'all have gotta react to one of his Unreleased music videos. look at the feel music video its crazy fr. new subscriber here
will do Bro
I think it's people's attention span now adays is way shorter I remember I couldn't wait to hear a third verse from Jada or Banks
