Things like the black kogatana, model gun, black robe, or anything that says it capable of transmutation you use for a later feature you get in the the velvet room. You don’t need to try and get them right now but I suggest not selling them.

Two things: In the beginning of the episode you said you probably weren’t going to do the politician confidant because you need to work at the beef bowl shop. I would still strongly recommend doing it for the confidant. You do get some money from it which is good for early game, along with proficiency. When I said jobs weren’t that worth it I meant if your choosing to spend your time with it just to get money. You said that you feel like you always choose the wrong dialogue choices for confidants. The outings with the twins are separate from their confidant, their confidant being the persona requests. Also if you feel like your not picking good options remember that you get more points with the confidant if you have a persona on you with the matching arcana.

alright you asked for tips about maruki you get tips about maruki first of all, something very important. he is a new confidant for royal, so to get the new royal content at the end of the base game he is one of the required confidants to max-out. how often you visit him depends on when he's available but i would recommend him because the skills you get from him are really good. as for your team, you get cutscenes at some point for all party members like you did with ann but you can't send them to him to get sp.

One of the cool things about Royal is that they made mementos a lot better than it was in the og p5 lol What a lot of players do with mementos requests is that they save them up without going to mementos, like get around 5-7 or whatever, and then do them all at once to be efficient with time. Also a side note, you were talking about getting rid of personas for new ones. The velvet room is good because you can register them, and then buy them back in the registered state whenever you want. This is really good for persona fusion because you can get the stronger and more custom fused personas without sacrificing older ones.

Just one thing about the true ending part, you don't need to worry about that yet. To get the true royal ending (because you can also get the original p5 ending but you don't get the extra royal part) you just need to max out future confidants. I think one of them, one of the best in the game in my opinion, is going to be unlocked by the story soon.

About the what should you do on days off/weekends, I commented this on another video but you may not have seen it by the time you recorded this one. I did say jobs aren’t that good, but doing a job is still better than doing nothing. You should never just go back to leblanc because it’s a waist of time, as time is limited. About raising guts, I if you go to the burger place on central street to you should be able to take a challenge that raises all you social stats by a bit. And a side note of the persona registration, always register all your personas when you can. In the compendium you can summon personas that you have have registered. So register all of them so you can always get them back for a future fusion, to use them for a confidant and so on.

Nice you’re almost at the boss! Two things. One is REALLY important. Early in the episode you went to to the cafe before evening, skipping a time slot. You should never do that. For the whole game one skip isn’t a big deal but there is never a reason to do that. Even if you didn’t have a confidant available or any money for activities you can always read or study, and on weekends where school isn’t open, even though they aren’t that good jobs still give you money and social stat improvements. The other thing that in a lot of the holdups you are getting EXP for your personas. Even though all out attacks tend to be better since they give the party members more EXP, you give the personas EXP and don’t “register” them in the velvet room. Registering them makes it so you can buy the persona back in the state that you registered it so when you replace a persona with the EXP that isn’t registered that persona is gone. Also in the velvet room fusing is really good because it can make better personas with better skills. The fused ones tend to be a lot better than the ones you get from negotiations, which is why you fuse negotiation ones to be good.

Equipment: There isn't really that much equipment advice to give, but some things are important. First of all you should note that early game you'll have some trouble with having the money to get everyone the best of everything but later in the game you'll have another method. Just don't rely on day jobs as they take up time and you don't get much. The equipment you can get is melee weapon, ranged weapon, protector, and accessory. I think that the most important is protector since defense is more or less what determines a game over. So overall Jokers protector is most important because if he dies it's game over. Melee weapon and gun, you should always have gun as top priority as it's just more powerful. Don't worry about buying that many accessory's because you'll soon be introduced to "will seeds" which give great accessory's. You'll also get some from chest's. Just remember you'll be using you're personas most of the time so that's more important than equipment. P.S. You can sell all the treasure you find in a palace it has no use besides to be sold for money. Early game that and battles are your main source of income.

Nice to have the series continue after the break! It was fine for before this, but as fighting becomes more of a thing, you're really going to want to put control back on your party members instead of having the AI make those decisions. One, the AI is dumb and makes really bad decisions sometimes, and two, by not controlling them you can't really coordinate attacks or make small plans to deal a lot of damage. Also trust me that your not alone with being confused by the negotiation mechanics, it's really weird. Really what you have to do is think about what kind of personality the shadow has, and then say what they want to hear/what would remind them of themselves.

Ok so a few pieces of advice: 1 (break skills) When leveling up and gaining new ability's you will get some called, "elec break," or "fire break," or any element ending with break. Don't learn these because they're very situational. If an enemy put's up a barrier that blocks a certain element, you could use these skills to get rid of that wall. This is very situational, so I would not advice learning these abilities. You can just use other abilities to beat them. 2 (gun over melee) In the next episode you will get the gun ability to use in combat. The strategy that I'm about to explain would not work in the original persona 5, because in that game bullets were limited per metaverse infiltration. In Royal, bullets restock after every battle. Because gun is a lot better than melee, I would use gun first. You can use this to easily finish off enemy's, and even beat them in one turn if they're weak enough. This is so good because the restock makes it completely free, while persona skills take HP or SP. 3 (checking for small treasures) Around palaces, there will be small collectable treasures hidden in plain sight, such as a vase on a table you could collect. These are completely useless, but you can sell them. Try to collect as many as you can because once you can sell things these can be a big money source. 4 (classroom questions) In this episode you were asked a question in class. You got it wrong so you didn't see this, but by getting it correct you gain knowledge for you social stats. Raising these stats can allow you to do more things in the game. I know this was a lot, but I want you to know some of the useful things you can do in this game, that you don't get a tutorial for. You can ask me any questions you have too. Again, if you want to figure some of this stuff out on your own let me know. I do have some more stuff to tell you, but I'm waiting to tell you for when the advice actually matters. So far I'm really enjoying the series!

Nice 2nd part! Two more pieces of advice: 1. I think at some point in the middle of the video you said you were still getting the hang of some combat? You should learn from the game tutorials as more mechanics are revealed, but just a piece of advice, you are meant to use Persona attacks a lot in battle, so while you should still not be reckless, don't be scared to use some SP, especially when trying to find enemy weaknesses. 2. You were talking about how you wanted to edit the video, and you don't have to do this, but personally I think that it would be great to not edit them much at all because once you get into the bulk of the game, there isn't much to cut out without missing a lot of important stuff. I'll explain more once you get to those mechanics. I don't want to tell you what they are yet and spoil it. Tell me if I should calm down on all the advice, I know it's a lot. I'm just exited and want to have you get the most out of this game. Have fun! I'm really excited for the next part on Friday.

I am very hyped for this Lets Play Edit: just finished the video, and two things: First I would recommend saving in at least 4 slots, (go to the next one every time you save then start again after 4) just because sometime in the game if you mess up it’s nice to be able to go back. The other thing is about the trail and it’s unfairness. From other places I’ve heard this, so I’m pretty sure that in Japan most trails end up with the prosecution winning, so that’s where this came from. Later on in the game you learn more about what happened though. Hope you have fun with this game! I’m really enjoying it already.

Is there an achievement for getting the most screwed over? I earned that one.
