Hi.. very beautiful blog ❤may i know the link of accomodation / airbnb you stayed?
Hi! Thank you 🥹🥹 We stayed in different accommodation for each location actually. Would it be easier for you to refer to the name of the accommodation in the video? Let me know if you can’t find it!
Love the Vlog!
Good footage, I have plan to visit NZ next year and your documentary will help us to explore the destinations. Thank you !
I’m so glad this is helpful! Enjoy your trip 🥳

You picked the best parts of NZ to visit.
haha is it!! we Googled and tried to include the best of the best for our short 10 days trip but it’s still not enough 🤣
Omg that looks really cold!
it was pretty cold for us summer asian girls 🤣
@ haha my Singaporean skin will not stand this 🤣
same!! 🥲 we wear heat tech everyday hahaha
@ omg heattech to the rescue fr!
Waaaw
Hi possible to share when this video was taken? I am traveling on 16 Nov, so wanted to know how cold the weather is ? Thanks
Hi sure! This was taken last week of Sept 2024. Was a bit chilly, less than 10 deg celcius. Have fun on your trip!!
what best time come to NZ?
Hi! This is our first time in NZ and we went in Spring so can’t say for the other seasons but I believe each season has their own beauty. The only thing about Spring is that it can get rainy which may result in cancelled outdoor tours.
so beautiful view
Great vlog! I’m going to New Zealand next month. Looking forward to the next part 🤩
thank youuuuu 🥹🥹 have fun in nz!!
Very beautiful sharing 💞💞💞🎉🎉🎉
Hi May I know what is the temperature there
hello! when we went in end sept this year, temperature was below 10 degrees.
Superb Vlog! Loved watching it!❤️ Could you please share some more details about the Stargazing Tour aka Sumit Experience? Like from where you booked and all, was it worth the price and all please?🙏
thanks for watching 🥹🥹 We wanted the summit experience where you get to hike a little to mt john mountaintop observatory but that night the wind was too strong so not safe for us to go. We were offered to change to the crater experience which is more family-friendly. If you love stars and astronomy then it will be fantastic and very interesting. If not, then may be too technical 🤣 Price was ok, NZ tours are around this price.
@@cluuelessdays Oh understood! Thank you so so much for replying! Does the summit experience tour take place at night? What are the timings if you can tell? Eagerly waiting for your next vlogs!✨
no worries! Yes they start at night, you can check out dark sky project’s website for more info :) have fun researching 🤪
@@cluuelessdays Thank youu:)
Love this vlog! Waiting for the rest. Have you guys experienced any sand flies bite in NZ? Im thinking to go but hearing about sandflies gives me anxiety 😢
awww thank you 🥹🥹 we heard about sandflies too but thankfully we didn’t get any bites at all. I’m guessing it could be because we went in Spring plus we all wear at least 2 layers, long socks, heat tech inner wear with pants and long sleeve tops so thankfully no bites! I would say spring / winter have less chances of sandflies but pls do your research too :)
@ thanks for your reply! Cant wait for the rest of the vlog 🥰
Yes there are sandflies and usually we encounter them at waterfall stops so it's like hurry take photo and leave for us.. blue pools (think that's the name) also quite sandflies infested, basically those more natural-ish sights with water have sandflies... Have a get a good repellant to ward them off, I guess but haven't gotten any to recommend cos for such places, we just hit and go
@@AloysiusLow-u3j Thats great to know! Thank you. Such a shame because of the sandflies its pretty much impossible to enjoy the natural sights
@@sashas7465Maybe it's about the timing also, cos we were there in summer.. maybe spring or winter won't be so bad?
Great vlog!
thanks so much 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Love the editing and colour of the video! Just went to nz myself too but didn’t have time to edit the vlogs. Great work though. What camera are you using? The footage seems so stable 😊
thanks so much!! i had a lot of fun editing the vlog, brings me back to the trip. hope your trip went really well! would love to watch your vlog too 🤪 im using the sony zv 1-II and a gopro! the sony cam stabilisation really not great… am thinking to switch to the dji osmo pocket 3 😅
Hi☺️ when did u visit NZ Queenstown?:)
hello! we visited nz in sept this year :)
Welcome to NZ from a fellow SG here
thanks for the welcome! nz is so beautiful and there’s so much to explore 🤩
@cluuelessdays yes i love the Mackenzie country and has a place in Twizel :)
Wow so beautiful New Zealand ❤❤❤ Happy Halloween 🎃
Rovaniemi vs Levi ski town, which area do you highly recommend
Rovaniemi is a popular tourist area so if you’re going to Finland can’t miss saying hi to an official Santa Claus 🤣 We didn’t explore much of the ski area in Levi ski town as we spent most of it on other activities. If you like snowboarding or skiing then highly consider Levi!
Thanks for sharing! Is it easy to access to nearby restaurants and groceries ? Wondering if we should book the accommodation with meals package / activities together in advance? Any tips ;) 😊
Depends on where you stay! We stayed a bit further from town and had to take uber everywhere we go which was not very convenient. If you’re staying in town itself, then food is quite easy but for activities, I recommend to book in advanced preferably with pick up and drop off options :)
Do you highly recommend this hotel? Worth the splurge? 😊
I think this hotel so-so only… Might have to do more research to see if there are better ones!
Hihi! Great vlog!!! 😍Which part of lapland do u highly recommend? Levi ski town or rovaniemi?
Hi! Thank you 🥹🥹 I’d say Levi ski town is really more for skiing, if you don’t ski there’s really not much to do since all the activities Rovaniemi also have. Rovaniemi is famous for Santa Claus Village which in my opinion, must go haha
@@cluuelessdays thanks for your honest reviews... Your vlog super helpful!!
Do you think it’s worth to book an aurora tour?
Hello! Yes but depends on the area you’re in. We didn’t managed to see northern lights during our aurora tour in Rovaniemi but we saw amazing ones in Saariselkä during the tour there 🤩
I see, thanks for the info! May I ask what do you actually do during the aurora tour? Seems like it’s like a hike
For the aurora photography tour in Rovaniemi, the guide drove us out to certain spots to try and catch aurora based on some map he has. He also has professional camera set up which he will send pictures after the tour. The tour ended with a mini hike to a tent to enjoy campfire, barbecuing sausages then headed back to the drop off point.
Do u have any recommended local tour group in Finland that’s worth to splurge? :) care share the name?
I booked via Viator! The tour group is called Beyond Artic :)
Can you provide tips of layering? I see you both not wearing that much compare to when you both in Levi. We are heading to there end of this year, still no clue on wat to wear…. 😅
Hi! Sure, this was also our first trip to Finland so I watched UA-cam videos on what to wear for cold weather. Most important is the ultrawarm heattech, we usually do 3 or 4 layers depending on how cold it is. Heattech > sweater > puffy zip up jacket (optional if not too cold) > thick coat. For pants, just 2 layers will do. What helped a lot is scarf or balaclava, hats, gloves very important. We also had toe warmers and hand warmers we put into our coat pockets which helped us when we were outside doing activities especially the reindeer sleigh in vlog ep 1. We went from the coldest areas (kakslauttanen resort) back to the city so our body adjusted quite well along the way! haha have so much fun and enjoy yourself!!
@@cluuelessdays thanks for sharing 😁😁
Is there an issue with being too warm when being indoors there with ultra warm heat tech? Say for example when walking from outdoors into a cafe/restaurant for a meal. Oh subscribed!
@@thesololady Thanks for subscribing 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 No issues with ultra warm heat tech, usually taking off your coat and scarf will be fine, leaving just the UW heat tech and a sweater :)
@@cluuelessdays Thanks! ahhh transiting fresh from outdoors to indoors still need 2 layers inclusive of UW! I hope its better when staying indoors for a prolong time (eg end of day in hotel room).
Cool to see another Singaporean’s view on Helsinki haha. By the way the tram ticket is not 3€ one way, it’s 3€ for 80 minutes and you can use trams/metros or buses as many times as you want so it’s good if you plan it in a way where you can do 2 or more trips within 80 minutes!
oh wow thanks for sharing this!! we must’ve read wrongly 🤣🤣
can you share what kind of license needed for the snowmobile? im going there end of this year this info will help me a lot
Hi Amy, I showed them my driving license which is in english. You can double check with the tour that you booked with to confirm whether you will require an international driving license for snowmobile :)
Hii i found your vlog by accident and it's really cool! the whole atmosphere is amazing
hi!! thanks so much for watching x
That jump from the restaurant to McDonald's hahaha looked like a fun trip!
hahaha it was!!
U look like u r locally fron japan, the way u explore japan without getting anyone help
Nice vlog
Thanks for sharing
Nice route, thank you for sharing, anyway based on your experience going to scotts creek first is the best way for road trip melbourne-great oceans road?
hi! hmm… i’m not too sure since it was our first time doing the road trip but I would recommend staying in port campbell since there are more things to do. We were only in scott’s creek because of our airbnb. Hope this helps!
Icekarting and snowboarding is the best😬

Don't pay any extra tips for transport in Finland, all is included in the pre-arranged price of transport, assuming it didn't take you like 30min+ to haul the luggage. If you call up taxi without pre-arranged price or so, then they have charge for waiting too, so it's not required in that case either. Tipping is only if you think you received service above and beyond good. While you cannot call it scamming as tips are volunteered, the driver certainly was acting badly and no finn would pay such extra tip. Also, don't worry about the husky sledding, huskies love running, they have massive amounts of energy and issue with huskies is usually them not getting enough exercise rather than they having issues running with people around.
thank you for sharing these insights!
Nice snowy winter.
Can you share the Airbnbs links please?
Sure! I wouldn’t recommend the route we took since we had to rush from one place to the next as it was quite far away… but you can see which you prefer and work out your itinerary accordingly :) 1 - abnb.me/QCY4NfkK6Fb 2 - abnb.me/V35c5WmK6Fb 3 - abnb.me/Qk9jIAqK6Fb

For private hire in the city, we use Uber :)
