Okay, so she's a fabulous singer but 1. Is there really a need to change "man" to girl? no & 2. transexual to sensational.. are they trying to say there's an issue with being transexual? really? fucking no.
Lusus Naturae I think considering the episode, he had to change it because it was a 'School Musical" so maybe it had to do that to say that schools wouldn't really think of that as "appropriate", even if it is in our eyes.
Lusus Naturae Glee had a token trans-man and a token trans-woman...but the show itself was hell of transphobic and biphobic. So, I'm not surprised that they changed the words.

1. They changed the words to Man to Girl because Mercedes is a Girl. I think they just swapped and made it a female to male. 2. If they had a real problem with Transsexuals, they wouldn't have included a trans character or even done the song. It's Fox. Do you know nothing about modern journalism? i think her voice puts a really nice spin on it, the original is better Tim curry will always be the best at this song but glee put a nice twist on it her voice is lovely. i also don't understand why people are complaining shes a girl yeah and women can do this song if they want it makes no difference what gender or race you come from
I understand that she's a good singer. But she's no good for this song. Her way to song is a little too much. Plus, the point that they changed "transvestite" into "sensational" is really disrespectful for the songwriter Mr.O'Brien. And omfg why woman acted Frank!? Of course women can be transvestite, but, then why she didn't wear male clothes? I understand that they did it in this way because of some unavoidable circumstances, but if they couldn't reproduce faithfully, then they'd better not played this, I think...
