New regulation in Title 22 asks for 60 days notice: (b) The licensee shall notify the licensing agency and all residents receiving services, or their responsible persons, in writing as soon as possible and in all cases at least sixty (60) days prior to the effective date that any change in ownership of the facility occurs as required by Health and Safety Code section 1569.191(a)(1).

After you do the orientation, what’s the next step, and how long does it usually take to get licensed?

If you become a member of a corporation that is licensed for ARF, and the prior Admins and members drops out of the corporation. Does the remaining member who is also a certified Administrator take over the facility without applying for another license since it’s the same Corporation that is licensed just different member of the corporation? The issue comes up more with small facilities with 4 beds. There is a real issue with trying to figure out staffing. Also, if it's a level 3 facility the rules are different for night care staff. The video is very general in this regard.
