Started at age 14. Life got in the way and I've lost so much time. My progress stalled for years. I put together a few simple instrumentals but I didn't understand the theory of what I was doing. I just put things together that I thought sounded good and a hand full of people agreed. It was all rhythm based acoustic guitar stuff with a lot of arpeggio variations. Recently I've been refocusing my efforts. I didn't know how to find the scale patterns up and down the fretboard until just a few months ago and I knew nothing about the modes! That has opened up more for me than the last 50 years! I'm not fast nor am I 100 percent accurate but I have a picture of the framework now and I find new ideas every time I play! I'm still learning new things at 70. I have no dreams of stardom but I share what I have. It's more important than ever to keep learning and improving! It's therapy! This video was instructive and inspiring! Thank you!
