Only just about woke up, s, timezones don't work well to allow for my presence on stream, but i'll try to watch the VOD through. Hope you're still having a (largely) good time.

Hey there! I'm one of the biggest fans of Soulstice around and i've skipped forward in the VOD, and am glad to see that you're so enthousiastic for Soulstice. I really hope you'll enjoy it all the way through. There are some shortcomings, for example: there will be a few annoying enemy types, fight encounters, camera doesn't always work and the middle part drags on a bit. And the Force Fields mechanic has proven divisive too. But on the other end of the scale: Gameplay in the moment feels really good, there's quite a selection of weapons that will *all* be viable, there's a big variety of enemies with most of them being alright to pretty good, the story and writing are of solid quality, and the bosses are similarly sweet stuff! (There's only one boss fight i found rather ehhh). There's a lot to Soulstice that may make it not as easy to get into as others in its gaming genre, like for example Darksiders, DMC, Bayonetta and others. Especially where it concerns Lute's skill tree. I've seen some people describe it as "bloat" and i can see their point, but nevertheless there is a lot that Soulstice offers that is worth looking into and experiencing. To give a clarification on how Unity works: Just don't get hit and keep dealing consistent damage. Getting Lute's counterattacks in time builds up Unity too. I believe Lute can't counter certain attacks of Medium and Heavy or Big class enemies yet, but a later upgrade in the skill tree will allow her to counter more attacks of those enemy classes. (Entropy is different and you generally don't want that. But if you ever purchase a Skill that you end up not liking too much, you can get a full Cobalt Residue refund and spend that currency on another skill). In essence, it's like a mix of a Style Meter and a Magic Meter. At the highest scores/tresholds, you can use the "magic". For either Rapture mode or a weapon-unique Finisher, which if i remember correctly are called Synergy Attacks. Synergy Attacks are performed automatically at the end of any pause combo, if your Unity is of a high enough treshold, and determined by which weapon you perform the final hit with. (For example, if you go Sword-Sword (pause), Sword - Hammer - Hammer, you'll get the Ashen Enforcer's Synergy Attack) I didn't properly have the hang of it on my own playthrough initially and relied mainly on building up for Rapture, but on a reply i was able to pull it off much more consistently for any weapon. All that aside, yet again: Wish you a lot of fun on the rest of Soulstice and this tale of two sisters, a snarky monk, bonds, love, madness and monsters.
