ROAD TO GTR FESTIVAL | EPISODE 2 | TITANIUM MERGE PIPE KIT
In this episode I'm going over my new titanium merge pipe kit. This is a product I'm very proud of as I feel it looks right at home on the RB26 and removes the double gasket/elbow system that Nissan implemented to help deal with the tighter space.
For those not already familiar.. This video is going to come across in a new mini format that will happen alongside projects regularly occurring in the shop. My goal with this is two things:
1. To bring attention to the fact that America is about to be host to an amazing event focused solely on GTRs and that its happening here in the great state of Texas! ua-cam.com/video/ROb5c1KzZIM/v-deo.html
2. To bring attention to and shine light on new products that I have had in the pipeline for quite some time and will now slowly be releasing one by one so that you, the end consumer, can physically see and feel the quality and the craftsmanship of these components in person at GTR Festival. I'd love the opportunity to explain why I stand behind the build and quality of my parts in person and to show you guys what I've been working so hard on for the past year.

    This has been one of my favorite parts you've created. Love the flow of the piping. Do you have a clean room for prep work? IT looks like you have some sort of glass wall area but, it's hard to tell. Is that closed off from the rest of your shop?

      @@joao_bridge I do actually yeah! The plexi wall separates the cars from the area that I often grind and fabricate in. It’s not a total separation but I do my best to take care of the vehicles in the shop

    Can you make an upper cooling panel without the hood latch cutout? I’m just running aerocatch pins on my car, with no hood latch. A solid top piece would be sweet!

    Looking forward to seeing your products. I am extremely interested in the R34 GTR exhaust because your design philosophy is similar to my wants and needs. I especially like your front pipe design and try to achieve maximum clearance. I live in Japan as an American and have access to all the JDM stuff locally and I wish I could incorporate elements from certain designs into one and yours seems to check all the boxes.     Could you use an oval section for the lowest point on the rear turbo's downpipe to help with clearance? I'm neither a fabricator nor a welder so I don't know if there is enough length before/after to complete a round-to-oval-to-round transition.

      It’s a fair idea but committing to oval means there needs to be a transition to and from round to oval. This requires a great deal of length and often times makes oval tougher to deal with

    Just to clarify - you do a lower amp "root pass" and then an additional hot pass? Might have to try this!

      Only on lap joints yes. I haven’t been able to consistently avoid keyhole’ing until I utilized this method. Ideally the root is just a very low amp fusion pass but if there’s a slight gap that won’t fuse I’ll add a little filler

      @@Leaskspec very common to multipass lap and especially fillet titanium joints. you could also lay wire technique and pulse it in for a single pass

    The clearance for the mines pipe is my biggest gripe about it. Sits way too low and roads in ATX just love to give it little love taps

    Amazing content loving this build. How is the fitment of the hood and bumper, in the pictures I've seen so far there appears to be a slight gap where the bumper meets the hood in the center grill area.

      it looks a little off because its installed without any trims and the hood isn't latched at the back so its kind of sitting low, making the front end pivot up
