As kids we were obviously Lindros fans, collected his hockey cards too. Was also a huge John LeClair fan and I played hockey with #10 on the back of my jersey just like him, even though I was playing D. Watching this compilation now in my forties I have to admit Lindros had all those concussions ending his career coming to his way from the get go. He lived by the sword and died by the sword I guess. PS. Legion of Doom was massive in the 90's

Hello, I Pens fan from Eastern Europe. Lindros - excellent hockey player. He be able to play tough, and he played so. But, he played hard and clean, he not send people to hospital. It big difference to play hard or to broke people. Sad , what players like Kasparaitis, Stevens and other nasty guys played dirty, and many great hockey players be injured by them, including Eric Lindros too. I always love to watch Lindros, so much talents in one player, I remember what NHL analytics called him “complete package”. Eric Lindros - the Legend! 🙂👍

Lindros was a pussy he got drilled so many times cause the idiot never learned to keep his head up. Stevens gave him an early retirement package unfortunately it cost Lindros his cognitive abilities.

Stevens is an idiot, but Lindros get what he deserved.

If he had kept his head up while carrying the puck, instead of looking down on the puck, he might have avoided many of the hits that ultimately shortened his career.

One thing I notice when comparing Eric Lindros' highlights with Mario Lemieux's (both players with incredible combos of size and skill) is that Lemieux's teammates all rushed in to keep him out of (extended) fights, while Lindros' teammates seemed to let stuff go down.

Some of the great players were great in their time but would not be competitive today. Lindros would still be dominant player, though he might have to clean his act a bit. Have to admit some of those dirty plays were quite funny

Great player. But his refusal to play for the team that drafted him stains his legacy big time.

I saw Hal Gill of all people knock Lindros out in the Old Boston Gahden back in the day. He deserved everything he got. He thought He was above everyone else.

Eric Lindros took advantage of the size of your typical hockey player in the 80’s and 90’s. There’s many that are as big as him now. He would have a harder time blowing other players up today. Not to say that he wouldn’t be able to still crush the fuck out of players. Players safety board would be going crazy with his pay check and tons of time off in the game today. Especially the slew footing. He’s was like a 6’ 4” version of Rat Boy Marchand. Many of these hits are dirty as hell. Exactly why concussions put him out. He had a huge target on his back. He’s a dirtbag.
