Spooky Halloween Village DIY Mixed Media Art PaperDesign, DecoupageQueen, Pentart, LaBlanche Moulds!
Hello Friends!
Each year I find myself decorating for Halloween a bit earlier and yes, it is only the beginning of August and here we are! I am diving into all the spooky goodness headfirst this year, no apologies!!!
In this making video I focused on the Halloween theme PaperDesigns Rice Paper as my base and worked around it. I loved the scene itself--so many gorgeous spooky vibe colors!!!

Hi this was a very informative tutorial thank you ! Can the clear varnish glossy become contaminated from dipping the brush back into the bottle to re up? I used antique paste to fill in my cracks.

Love it.
I've tried the pentart fineline 2 step crackle method so many times..its just not working for me. Ive followed the methods shown on UA-cam,even tried putting it by the heater overnight and blow drying afterwards, but im not getting any cracks. Im thinking I might have bought a dodgy batch.

Hi have a short question.. what do you use to clean your brush after using the wax paste ? 😁. Love your videos by the way kind regards a new beginner 🌹
most of the time I use my fingers. The wax paste can be cleaned from the brush with dish soap and water. You can also try The Master's Brush Cleaner from General Pencil.

Can you use chalk paint
pentart chalky paint will work, however we haven't tested it with other brands.

Great work. Love it. But does the clay stick to the bottle without glue? When I try working with clay, it never sticks. No matter if I use structure paste or glue.
I suggest heavy body gel. You do need something to adhere it.

the final varnish if you're doing one, should be applied prior to applying snow, ice and rainbow pastes.

How long do you blow dry for roghly?
I am having trouble with the fine line crackle working. I just orderd more #1 and #2 fine line and my #2 is thick and yellow brown looking, and yours is completely thin and white. Do I maybe have bad #2 fine line crackle?
Mines the same.. part 2 is a browny colour and its not working for me either. Did you see the comment above about not speeding up the first step?

Yes, you must use a solvent based varnish.
