Guys, the db8 levers with tektro orion hd 750 are good enough? They are more powerful than the db8 standard?

I bought a 2nd hand bike for everyday riding. Department store bikes are fine for leisure. There is no need to break the bank for an outing, unfortunately every MTB video on youtube is about trail and offroad riding but none for budget users or just a family that wants to ride on a beautiful bike path or trail.

I had a Mongoose from Walmart years ago and it was a really good bike. It was heavy but it rode smooth on bumpy bike trails.

I dont advise to but theses mines started to leak After 3 months without hard riding and dust. I took them apart and the pistons are scratched just lightly but shows they are badly designed, i could Change the seals but i wont. I know there are people who bought them and got lucky

I had the same issue with my Lexon frame build, several of the bolts snapped, including one in the frame. I finally gave up on it and bought a new bike. The cheap aluminum bolts are worthless that come with the bike frames on Ali Express.

My huffy has the (no potential) down hill ride and hops humps fine I upgraded it from 18 speed to 27 speed.

Me personally I like a little higher end bikes. Walmart bikes aren’t good and are super cheap and dangerous. You’re not gonna break the bank spending atleast $500-800 on a QUALITY bike. Also V-Brakes SUCK. Buying a used Specialized Rockhopper for 400 bucks is enough for parks and light dirt trails. Me personally I buy my bikes new.

I bought the new huffy rock creek 29 and I have changed the tires to the Kenda sport nevegal 29 2 20 tires , changed the grips to a better brand, pedals to a better one and the brake pads to a better one, i take a lot of big jumps and berms and more and it's like a champ. Love the steel frame, but I have taken a lot of the stickers off only leaving the the huffy and the Rock creek,

Just done this, tektro 4p calipers with shimano xt levers, Use tektro hose olives and hose interface (screw in bit) and it works really well.
