I had friends who were big Dead Heads but they were never my thing. That said, I think this is one of the best pop culture decks I've ever seen.

I've had this deck for a while, it took me some time to bond with it but I've been using it more this Oct and am loving it.

I have the mass market edition now, but had been wondering about the differences in information. It is a shame to have so much story removed from the myths. The 7 of cups - is a Nixie & Näkki the same thing? Just got me wondering if this is why the information altered. Thankyou for a great comparison 🌞🌻

Ugh. I saw the Awakened Soul Oracle fake in a metaphysical shop on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was so angry, I could hardly speak, and I had to leave. I put out the word because the people at the store seemed totally unmoved. No shame at all. Curse them. They know what they're doing, but they don't care. 🤮 Did you see Kara Smalls decks got pirated?? I am completely offended by the thievery.

Hi. Thank you for sharing my deck on your channel! I really enjoyed your unboxing. I thought I would clarify a few things that you were unsure about. I see the animals in the Page cards as guides that watch over their young subjects. I know the 8 of cups is too dark. It’s so frustrating. The printing process darkens the images, and a few of them are darker than I would’ve liked. The figure is a hiker who has a pack up on his shoulders, and yes, the landscape is Half Dome in Yosemite. It’s one of my favorite places. All the planets in the majors are the planets associated with that card. Justice is actually standing on her planet, Venus. I did try and explain all the image choices for the major cards, but didn’t have the page space to do the same in the minors. I’d really like to make a more comprehensive guidebook sometime in the future. I loved hearing the seagulls when you were looking at the Cups courts! That was great timing on their part. 😄 I truly enjoyed all your thoughts and insights on the cards. Thank you for taking the time to share my deck on your channel. I hope you enjoy getting to know it! 😊

Finally decided to buy this - my first Ethony deck 🙂

This is still my favorite Ethony deck I'm shocked it's going out of print. The guidebook is a treasure.

I've just discovered this deck in an online shop and have been looking for reviews of this edition specifically. I know it's quite late for a comment, but I just want to say thank you so much for showing the whole deck! I think I most likely will pick it up, as I found many of the cards striking and easy to understand, and I'm looking for a deck that I can bring to readings for people who are completely new to Tarot but find the imagery of the Smith/Waite deck too obscure. Some of the cards were so spot on, or gave me an "A-ha" moment. The Two of Swords and the Five of Cups in particular broke my heart. I'm actually keen on the Five of Wands, as he appears to be playing an MMO, which means he's fighting other players, but as he's alone in his room doing so, he's also isolated in his perspective, a metaphor of how Six of Wands disputes often arise in real life. Graduation as Judgment, too, also works for me, leaning more toward Smith/Waite, as I associate the card with rebirth and ascension to a higher realm. I can see how the Eight of Cups and Six of Swords seem similar, but it's pretty evident from the look on the face of the woman in Eight of Cups that she doesn't necessarily want to leave, and there is a feeling of some emotion holding her back even as she must go. The Six of Swords (in Smith/Waite) has always had the impression of a refugee running for her life with her child in tow, and here, she's taking her child and a suitcase; unlike Eight of Cups, Six of Wands has no desire to be there nor to come back ever again. I do wish the Seven of Cups had added a little sign to one of the "cups" that read something like, "Contains Peanuts," a common allergy, just to give a nice reference to the "skull" that can be seen on the Smith/Waite. The artistry is definitely more on the younger side than I would prefer, and there are a couple of cards I don't agree with, but what I do like-at least from everything I can see here-more than makes up for it. Currently, my only other "modern" tarot deck is the Urban Tarot, which is more Thoth-based and has a considerably more mature style and themes, so this would make for a nice contrast, especially if I'm looking for a reading that is lighter and straightforward. Again, thank you so much for the full showcase!
