You each have a life together, and a personal life. Yes your personal life shouldn’t harm your marital life, but it also isn’t required to be a part of your marital life. If I have a friend whom I’ve known for 10 years and we just got married 3 years ago, I’m not gonna stop seeing or talking to my friend because you say so, husband or not, that’s my personal life that you agreed to take on when you met me.
