One for all is only strong once it’s had enough users to stockpile enough power to be viable and even then you have to have a strong enough body to handle that level of power and that’s easier said then done all for one on the other had is easy to use and seems to have no limits and the only drawback comes from whatever quirks he is using from those he takes with it do to it’s ease of use and limitless potential it’s honestly better then one for all especially since the quirk shortens the lifespan of any user with a quirk that gets it by a significant amount something all for one doesn’t do and all for one can take quirks that can make you live longer what is more powerful then being able to outlive any threat that you can’t outright overpower honestly if all for one didn’t have such an idiot of a user then those with one for all would never have stood a chance

What I think is the reason why sukuna became a curse is that he wanted to kill and cause agony whenever he felt like it and he especially enjoyed killing and playing with strong and talented individuals but his human body has probably hit it's limits. So either the feeling of killing and causing harm were so strong that he became curse or he invented some kind of cursed technique that let him reincarnate into his curse form. The ladder would make more sense because in the manga (spoiler ahead) while he is in Megumis body after breaking his resolve to live he can turn/reincarnate into his cursed form. That means he either got too old and had to do something or his body had reached limits in terms of cursed energy output or he just felt that having a body of a curse would be better for killing sorcerers. But that's just a theory that I think explains your first point in the video even tho it's not canon for me it's enough
